Colleges don't even make money. Unless they are for profit.
All are for profit. Otherwise they would not exist.

"Non For Profit" is just a term for tax purposes but Non For Profits MAKE MONEY!!
Colleges don't even try to break even moneywise.
OK...LOL
Colleges lose a ton of money every day. They are not made to make money. It is pretty well-known.
LOL - OK.
So you agree with me.

Feel free to prove me wrong, but I am fairly confident that non-for profit colleges do not make money.

Let's see. UGA has 40,000 students at about $20,000 per year. If you are losing many at a $800,000,000/year budget, I don't want you teaching my kids. That would mean that you're incompetent.

Larger colleges definitely make money.

Go and look up the financial statements and tell me how they lose money. UMASS has over $2Bn is built up reserves.

I am done proving sh*t to you. Tangy, you are a troll.
1/19/2018 1:36 PM
Yeah, Tang. No offense, but Saying that colleges lose money shows a pretty high level of ignorance on the subject of education.
1/19/2018 1:38 PM
OK fair enough. I thought I heard that somewhere. I was wrong. My bad
1/19/2018 1:39 PM
No problem. I was almost wrong once. Scary moment.

Harvard's endowment is over $37Bn.

There is "lose money" for tax purposes and there is "cash burn".

Colleges DO NOT lose cash.
1/19/2018 1:41 PM
OK.

By the way, I'll be in Boston July 7-12. I'll hit you up at some point when I'm in town.

In 2017, the UGA system budgeted just over $8 billion in expenses and just over $5.1 billion in revenue, for a net of -$2.9 billion.

I am away from the 7th to the 15th. Sigh....:(

1/19/2018 1:45 PM
The UGA system took in additional $2.1 billion in state appropriations to help close the gap.

Not sure what your source is, but I'm showing that it cost $1.7B to run the school.
