who's starting tonite? Loseruongo or Schneider..I hope the kid gets a shot ,i want to see a good game,or atleast a competitive game..not another repeat of Minnesota....it would be nice to see a close game for 3 hours and enjoy the game ...instead of the 1 period Luongo meltdown we see so often

7uongo was pretty solid tonight, so you can feel good about that.

Luongo stoled us a point tonight. Too bad he couldn't stop anything in the S/O. Good game though. Hawks owned the first 30 and Vancouver took the final 30. At least I can say I was happy with the effort tonight compared to last night. I'm glad that Luo rebounded from the night before too.

Use to love Rypien as a fighter, little guy who could toss em and win almost all the time, but he just turned into a complete doucher.. would have figured he would have a little thicker skin

You know, he made a mistake, but that's his game - living on the edge.  I'm actually more inclined to think that if a fan is stupid enough to stick his nose in the face of an NHL player in the middle of a hockey game, he deserves to get it ripped off his face.  The whole point why a lot of these "fans" like the sh*t-for-brains in Minnesota even get tickets to the game is to watch these guys battle like warriors, and then when they get their own adrenaline pumping they go sit behind the bench and act real tough behind a plexiglass barrier.  If you pay your money to watch a game, then watch the damn game.  If you pay your money to get in the face of an NHL tough guy, then I guess you take your chances.  I'm willing to bet that Rypien isn't the only player who would have reacted that way, right or wrong. What makes me sick is listening to that little ****** say what he was saying on the local Minneapolis radio and TV stations. He's acting like some kind of local legend who outsmarted the Vancouver tough guy.  I would love 5 minutes alone with this little sh*t.

On another note, I remember an MLB game back in the eighties where some fan said or did something completely over the line to Jim Rice and the next thing you knew, Rice was 3 or 4 rows up into the stands kicking the sh*t out of him.  I'm pretty sure Rice didn't even get suspended for that.  Maybe Muddy can clear up the facts a little for me on that one.

Someone other than a Euro better start scoring soon or this season could be a long one.  And our goalies better start recording shutouts, as we have only 2 wins despite 4 games where we have allowed one goal against.

Luongo was ok,couldve stopped a shot ot, not blaming the loss on goaltending tonite. Canucks played a good road game. time to take it out on Minnesota Friday.  I give the start to Luongo for some payback..
Fan in Minnesota is saying he got got assaulted?? cmon..thats just a money grab, Rypien was hot under the collar and went bezerk but that was nothing near assault..what a joke ..but thats the sue happy US for you....how do you live with yourself? lame
10/22/2010 1:51 AM
Defintely not assault... Rypien was wrong, but all he did was grab the guys shirt... maybe he should have pounded on him

holer.. if the guy was hanging down from the seats and actually getting in his face and not just hollering, I would be inclined to agree... but if hockey players did that to everybody who trash talked them in a visiting town we would have Bruins style riots every game

Actually, most of the blame for what happened should sit on the shoulders of the managing body of Excel Energy center.  Where was the retractable tunnel that is supposed to be in place in every NHL rink to divide the players from the fans when entering or exiting the ice surface?  Somebody screwed up royaly there and should pay the price for it.  Again I re-iterate,  probably half the players in the NHL under the same circumstances would have reacted similarly to Rypien AND it was very obvious that he quickly realized he was heading into a bad area when he suddenly released the kid soon after grabbing him and got the hell out of there.  HE WAS EXTREMELY AGITATED FROM EVENTS ON THE ICE AND THAT IS WHY NHL RINKS ARE SUPPOSED TO SEPARATE THE PLAYERS FROM THE FANS UNDER THOSE CONDITIONS!  I'm willing to bet that there are several players in the league who would have completely lost it and erased the kid's face.  Rypien was smart enough to catch himself and remove himself from the situation.

I would agree with the excel energy center being at fault... I didnt even see security by the Canucks bench and Rypien had to be restrained by a teammate

oh well 6 games.. wont hurt the Canucks

ditto that.  :>

holer,  with the Jim Rice incident, a Yankee fan reached onto the field of play and took his hat.  Then Clemens and him got into the stands to get it back.

gotcha.  I remember watching it, but couldn't remember what had caused it.
