i only consider my lists to be my personal favorites of the year...everyone's lists are equal....there is no definitive list when there are so many albums to pick from each year. and so many genres........i did like the steve earl album and the john hiatt album...john hiatt wrote the great bonnie raitt hit for her 1989 album which i ranked at #4 for my list.

I know these lists are only personal opinions. I wasn't claiming you were wrong, just posting some other options I would consider
