Brewers : Back in First Place Topic

all the Brewer talk in this thread just sort of brings it down....

Some preseason predictions:

US Today: Fourth in the division

Ken Rosenthal, Fox Sports: Fourth in the division

ESPN (the Magazine): tied with Reds with 85-77 record, but they award Cincy the playoff berth

Sports Illustrated: Second in the division, wild card winner

Orel Hershiser: Division champs! (predicted on "Mike and Mike in the Morning")

Brewers choke up a 6-3 ninth-inning lead in Cincy, losing on Ramon Hernandez' walk-off three-run homer. I thought Trevor Hoffman had retired, but perhaps I was wrong.

Umpires 1, Brewers 0.  Which call was worse:  The clear, obvious catch by Kotsay that was called a trap, or the clear obvious run out of the baseline by Phillips...he was on the infield grass...

Wow, just...wow...

Somewhere, Trevor Hoffman is chuckling with his ex-Arizona Wildcat's cheerleader wife...

Went to a bar with a buddy to watch Yanks and Reds(he's a fan).   I had to hear him say "dramatic fashion" more than a man should say.

I was hoping Shaun Marcum wouldn't make me nostalgic for the days of Jeff Suppan, but he did.

Apparently Randy Wolf's awful spring will continue outside of Arizona.

I blame Wil Nieves more, he just hits a couple flyballs, the Brewers win.

Gallardo pitches a two-hitter to beat the Braves 1-0 on Tuesday night.

Wednesday night, the Brewers benefit from a horrible call at home plate when Fielder is ruled safe despite being tagged out by McCann, and hold on to win 5-4 as Axford seems to have regained his command.
