Of course, I'm saying this not knowing the details, but I suspect that with only a 1-2 season gap it's largely the same team.
Yeah, in the spirit of multiple world titles in multiple worlds with completely different teams years apart - you're right, probably not enough people have had multiple teams for long enough to make this happen. Especially if you require a rebuild period in between, the 4 year gap in Fizworld meant a completely different team won, but I was still competing for a title in the middle years as well - wasn't rebuilding during that gap
I openly admitted that I hadn't looked it up, but I'd guess this is as close as you'll find before we hit 20 seasons played.
Different team is a different team. I couldn't care less if you didn't "rebuild", I just meant that it's rare someone wouldn't have to have a bit of a downturn between runs. That you were able to keep competing is pretty cool.
I guess WS appearances don't count?
If so, I think I only had one holdover on my 25-man roster from a Season 2 appearance until a Season 9 Championship, never being below .500 during the gap, and having 4-5 ALCS appearances over that stretch.
I'll stop trying to pat myself on the back before I pull something....
