Why do you keep saying the other 31 owners get a free pass?

Why do you keep refusing to admit that YOu are part of the problem?

Because we differ on it being a problem. You think its a problem, I don't think its a problem but a reflection of the quality of the world. The system will work if the coaches use the system and good worlds will use the system. When you can't get 10 of 30 coaches to veto obviously lopsided trades then you have to accept the world for what it is, and it's a world that does not plan on vetoing trades.

Just to clarify. I don't think its a problem that a owner does what he should be doing, making the best trades possible to improve his team. I don't believe anyone should be at fault for doing what he should be doing. If the other 30 owners do not veto the trade then they have chosen to allow the trade to happen, or they failed to do what they should be doing. The system worked but people want to complain about it after the fact.

So you're saying that because nobody stops you from making trade raping n00bs that it's a **** world.

And because it's a **** world, it's OK for you to trade rape n00bs because that's one of the things you can do in **** worlds?

Isn't that circular logic?

That seems to be your way of twisting it and then your attempt to put your words into my mouth.

Take it and twist it however you desire. It's simple. As a individual coach as long as you are playing within the rules you should not be the one blamed for actions you did while playing within the rules. If coaches in the world feel a trade is lopsided then they will veto that trade, if they don't veto the trade then they have chosen to accept the trade. That was their decision, don't whine about it later. If you desire not to play in a world where coaches allow lopsided trades then make that decision.

Serious question: do you really take enjoyment from succeeding in these worlds, knowing that you've built your teams by taking advantage of the uninformed n00bs?

I don't think of that aspect one way or another, to me trading is one of many parts of the game. I enjoy playing HBD as a whole and that is with everything involved. To me a uninformed noob should not be making decisions until they are informed, if they do make these decisions then they consider themselves informed enough to make decisions, and for that reason I don't think of that aspect one way or another.

Short answer: Yes, of course... why not? I'm making my team better, and winning more games. Isn't that the point?

I'm not reading plague's long-winded reasons for traderaping n00bs but is he using the "If not me, someone else" defense?
11/7/2009 9:07 AM
No. He's still using the "If nobody stops me, then it's OK!" excuse.
11/7/2009 9:12 AM
Yeah, he's very concerned about the overall quality of his worlds.

I love this quote so much that I want to make love to it and have little baby quotes....

You don't think it's a problem, but a reflection on the quality of the world. You do, of course, realize that you are contributing to the poor quality? Isn't THAT a problem? Your whole quote boggles the mind, but this part of it just creamy, nougaty goodness.

You guys can twist it however you want. Give a action a negative name so you can try and shame the other person into the behavior you desire, doesn't matter to me. Justify it by blaming the trading owner, doesn't matter to me. Change my words and put your own words into my mouth, doesn't matter to me. As a owner I will do what I should be doing and when it comes to trades I won't be treating new owners any differently than the other 31 owners. If I make a trade and the league vetoes and deems it lopsided then I will live with it, if they don't veto it then they deem the trade acceptable I will live with it. This conversation is going nowhere, we disagree and we will never agree on this subject, I will be done with this conversation, and good luck with your constant continuance of judging others and judging everyone that believe differently than you as lowlifes and try and get people to do what you want by the multitude of negative brand names.
