kreller131: I don't see how he's "dead on," as you say. The great coaches that got fired aren't great because they got fired, they're great because of everything else they've accomplished despite being fired.

His argument appears to be "I'm just one of many great coaches who have been fired." But what else has he accomplished to put him up there with those other greats? His argument is illogical and is therefore hardly "dead on."

And what is this "fraud" stuff he keeps accusing coaches of? Obviously, HD recognizes them as coaches, so the word "fraud" doesn't make any sense. Is he saying they cheated? Or that someone else who can coach is using their account? It confuses me.

You're right. Poorly put together on my part. I was just agreeing with the part about how there have been coaches that some might consider "great" that have been fired. Didn't mean to lump diablo in with them in that way. Whether diablo would be considered "great" is a different issue. I don't think so, even with a title to his name (which is one more than me, but I'm far from "great").

There's about 1-2 every season it seems. At least in the worlds I'm in. Probably should be more. Me still being at Louisville in Phelan is proof of that. Although I may also be the only person to have a winning record and win the CT of a #1 rated conference and still have boosters complaining. Not sure what that has to do with anything. I guess that, after all these years, I still don't understand 3/4 of the stuff about this game.

So which program should I be fired from genius?

PSU? 12-16 last year... that's pretty bad. My worst year in HD since my 1st season ever. But... it's PSU. And making postseason play 13 out of 15 seasons is more than successful.

UC? 6 of the last 7 seasons with a conference title? Yeah, probably not there.

UNC? Well this one has to be it right? Let's see, nothing in the 1st year as we had very little talent on the squad to start. Then, 4 out of 5 years in the NT including a title game appearance.

Think before you type.

Absolutely fired from PSU. The utter lack of success at Cincy would also get your fired. One and done would not cut it year after year in the real world.

UNC you'd be ok with a Title game appearance. But, choking (as usual) and the only coach with two losing seasons in the history would have you on thin ice.....especially if you could get a real coach in there to take them over the top.
