what you are not getting is that you just dont have nearly the comprehension required to make that judgment. the people who do have small disagreements, but unanimously agree this result is not a shocker. to bullheadedly discredit what we are saying just demonstrates that you think your opinion is more valid than that of a dozen vets who understand this game way better than you. i am reminded of when i was a kid. this will sound a bit ridiculous, but is an absolutely true story. my younger sister one day revealed she knew 2+2 to be 5. a year older and infinitely better at math, i could not believe she would not accept it was 4, despite anything i tried to explain to her. so we asked my older sister, who obviously agreed with me. still, my younger sister was firm that 2+2 was 5. after consulting with my mom, and finally my dad (who was in our eyes a math genius), she still was firm, 2+2 was 5. that is exactly what you are doing, take a step back and realize it, and you will be better off for it. This is apples to oranges. 2+2=4 is an indisputable fact. Suggesting that I lost the game in question because of your ATTEMPTS at justification isn't close to being 2+2=4. Your circumstantial justification simply isn't enough to justify the end result and to overcome the decided TEAM TALENT advantage I had. What you guys think is a "slam dunk" really isn't so...I don't care if customer support agreed with you.

you also say "It was a W all day, every day, period. I get how a sim works, and for a 1 in a million result to screw me is just incredibly hard to stomach at this moment."

1 in a million? laughable. not even close to 1 in 100. 1 in 20 if you are lucky. Lol i don't agree with the 60%s i have read in this thread but really man, there is absolutely no way it was close to 1 in 100. Lol do you deny my ability to look at a game and rate the chances of winning is drastically better than yours? No why won't you accept what i am telling you? Because the means don't justify the end result. i spent 30 minutes a game on about half of my games for about 4 months analyzing each game in depth to the best of my ability. one component was predicting my chances of winning. only when my perceived chances on winning fell in line with the results to a great degree, as well as the different components (like my perceived outcome of rebounding, turnovers, fg%, etc), did i stop doing it. if you really think you have a good gauge on a chance of winning, here is a very simple way for you to test it. start a thread. before each game, post your chance of winning. after 20 games, we will sum your perceived chance of winning and your wins. for me, over 100 games, i would expect a variation of 5 or less. so for 20, lets give you a variation of 2. please, give it a try, i think it would do a lot to open your eyes. I have no will to do this...you can say whatever the hell you want about me, I don't necessarily outwardly presume Ws and Ls like you do, I wait for the game to sim then determine whether it makes sense or not. Again, if I'm a puss, not a man, a skirter, or whatever else you come up with here then so be it, I'm not doing your little experiment because its not how I look at and/or play the game. Your math/statistical ability is eons ahead of mine, I know that bar none, so if you can hit 95 out of 100, more power to you....you do also have arguably the best team in D2 year in and year out as well...so how hard is it really?

Others aren't posting the sort of whinefests about games that you are, COlonels, nor acting as high and mighty about the results being 'unjustifiable'.

You said above that you don't necessarily presume W's and L's, but that is EXACTLY what you did with this game. You presumed that you had the better team and didn't need to make any adjustments because you thought you had an easy victory.

The more you argue, the more you contradict yourself, and the more your little argument falls apart. You really are hopeless......Arguing just to argue.

This is actually worse than diablo. At least diablo is doing something purposefully and is fully aware of what a jackass he's being. With colonels, he doesn't know. Now that I see how much he's frustrated everyone else, I don't feel bad about my outburst from yesterday.

As you can see here, there are some key words in my statement that DON'T make it an absolute. I didn't say that I NEVER presume Ws and Ls, but that I don't necessarily do it, meaning sometimes I do do it, and those sometimes are generally in non-con against the sim AI scrubs that I play year in and year out. Yes I stamped Montevallo as a win all day, every day, I'll own that always.

The more you argue, the more you try to create arguments in attempt to shut me up, and the more you utterly fail. Not arguing just to argue. Making valid points about everything in question.

Again, just because I don't agree with your, you should have lost summation, you choose to throw a hissy fit and get all ****** that I don't agree with you that I should have lost, etc, etc, etc. Get as mad as you like my friend...I'm not wrong simply because I don't agree with you. At this point, do you really think I care what people think of me?

And you're also not right simply because you don't agree with everyone else........

Never said I was, but I haven't been shown beyond reasonable doubt that I justly lost that game. Nothing said here has swayed my thinking that I should have won that game hands down.

If nothing here has swayed your thinking, with the number of top coaches who have responded, then I stand by my statement that you are hopeless at this point.

Your post directly above should effectively end this thread as there is no point trying to help someone who won't even bother to listen to rational explanations and even remotely consider that HE may have been the one that lost the game due to poor coaching decisions.

There is no point in trying to help someone that didn't seek help to begin with, and especially someone that went out of there way to state how "on their own" they like to do things. I shouldn't have had to do anything different to pound on Montevallo like I did on St. Leo.

I'll keep responding to everything that everyone posts here, but I hope what happened to me, happens to all of you as well, and that you lose a game(s) that you absolutely aren't supposed to lose, just because the sim thinks you should and shoddy justification. It was a slam dunk, and its a shame that you all don't/can't/won't see that.

Uh ... no. There are a bunch of elite coaches trying to explain the same thing to you here. You refuse to listen to anyone. I could care less whether you agree with me or not. You're hopeless.
