No I wont.  Millions of fish and birds have died from this disaster, thousands and thousands of fishermen have lost the majority of their income, the entire eco-system of the Gulf is in shambles.  I dont think that the environmentalists are far off of their damage estimates.  I might admit that they were being slightly alarmists but Id hazard a guess that their estimates are at least within 63% of the reality, and according to a certain right wing nutter here that qualifies as "about the same"... LMAO

What about the stories of many of the fishermen who have made more money, and with less risk, working for BP cleaning this thing up, than they would have fishing?  Are those false?

Not saying that this lessens the ecological impact of this spill, but the economic impact on the fishermen sounds like it was very very low.  Now, the impact on the tourist industry, that is a different ball game . . . .

So Mr Miller are you saying that all of the fishermen have been hired by BP?  Hell I bet its no more then the minimum needed to make BP look like a good guy here.  BP is very smart at calculating precisely the minimum they can get away with and come out looking at good.  I bet they have hired no more then 10% of the registered fishermen.  What about the other 90?  Not to mention the fisheries are going to be affected for years and years, far longer then BP is going to be hiring this minority of fishermen. 

Given what swamp is trying to do in tthis thread, it should be called, "Worst re-write of history that ever happened!"

This is what gets me.

I wish the left would apply the same standard to enviromentalists that they apply to Palin!

I cant get a source for millions of fish and birds. The only one I saw as total of 1 million, and that was one source.

It is easy to call on things like that. How many million eggs were destroyed recently, and in reality it didnt impact the big picture.

I can live with slight alarmists. As long as the next time we remember this slight alarmist and keep them honest.

If you would only remove your childish blocks you would see that we are having an intelligent discussion on the Water Cooler issues impacting Americans!

Swampy it looks to me that you are just being contrarion for the fun of it.  You cant give us any proof that the oil is doing as little damage as you say... You are just saying what BP Obama and the NOAA is saying.  Its obvious the reasons why they are saying these things.  I say that we should make BP fully accountable for every scrap of damage that their NEGLIGENCE has caused.  And the government needs to be held accountable as well, they didnt react nearly quick enough or forceful enough to push BP into doing anything and everything that they could do minimize the damage.  Not only that but the government should be held accountable for not forcing BP to have a proper emergency plan.  This whole situation is one big cluster-f*ck!

So I have to PROVE that the oil isnt damagin anything?? How does one prove a negative in this case?
