How funny, men playing a online sports simulation game, spending a large amount of time on  sports simulation games forum, calling a another online game nerdy.  Just another example of everything you do is good, what someone else does is bad, and since I don't like it I will brand it a negative label.
Are you going to regale us with your LARPing stories next?
I have never Larped yet, I have no problem with it, if someone else enjoys Larping then good for them. I don't see how Larping is any different than getting into a argument on some forum with people you have never met face to face, I am sure you have judged that ok and larping bad.
Well, at least you get the irony.... by the fact that this "argument" is happening on a site like this one, it HAS to be tongue in cheek.

Killing time at work and a hobby are slightly different... but I can see how one can view LARPing as more social than playing Halo or Call of Duty.  What with the face-to-face interaction, and all.

Even moms play fantasy football these days, and WifS isn't a very far cry from it.  If I'm messing around on WifS and somebody sees me doing it, I can say "oh, it's just my fake baseball team."  Some people think it's kinda lame, other people think it's kinda cool, but either way it's not too bad.

If you start showing somebody your butterfly wings and +10% magical hit rate, they will think you are a nerd.  Case closed.
You guys are idiots. Hundreds maybe thousands of different types of games have player killer servers. Mike just pulled some game up that has a player killer server. You can play Halo or a multitude of other games and play PVP.

Dare I ask what "PVP" stands for?

Is it Player Vs. Player?

Am I a loser for not knowing that?

I personally don't care what one person does for entertainment. The irony I find is one group of nerds calling another group nerds. When I was growing up owning a computer was considered nerdy, now almost everyone has a computer. Online games is way more popular than sports simulation games, I don't play them anymore just WIS, but when I was younger I enjoyed playing online games, Playstation, or Nintendo. There is a lot more athletic people playing online games than any of us in this thread. When I was playing Lenny Dykstra and Curt Schilling were playing the same game.

Your wife is a lovely lady, iain.

I thought Lenny Dykstra was busy losing his money on Wall Street and writing horrible advice columns on options trading.

And nobody has ever confused Curt Schilling as being "cool."

I roll old school when it comes to computer games:

Yes, PVP is player vs player, PVE is player vs the enviroment, if you are playing a game at home by yourself you are playing PVE.. Why is it every post you write has something labeled negatively? It's like 50% of your words. Your posts are almost all negative and no substance.

You seem awfully serious.  No joking around at all.  The fact you use the term "entertainment" rather than "fun" speaks volumes.

Also, I promise I don't care who you claim to have gamed with.... but.... uh......... congrats?

Imagine "lol" at the end of almost all my posts.... since I'm only really serious here when I'm talking about gameplay.  You'll find my posts read VERY differently.
