I hate leaving some of the hitting just sitting out there but I really need some pitching and bullpen arms

Great theme idea.

I would like to see this run again, with some variations...

Examples:
* Different eras (maybe include the 1940's and 1950's. I like the exclusion of deadballers).
* Draft 5 teams, 5 players per team (the snake draft reserves starting in round 3... 24-1, 1-24).
* Different salary cap levels

There are lots of different ways you could tweak the rules to get a totally different draft.

I agree- really fun idea.  It might be nice to put a salary cap in, as well.  That would only add to the strategizing. 

I would think it might be fun to do it from a really short span of time.  Maybe just one decade.  Build in a little weakness on every team.

Wow, no 1995 Atlanta Braves.  (I was close to taking them instead of 95 Mariners, but I wanted to use Charlton, Nelson and Edgar.)   Although, in a vacuum, I do think '95 Maddux is worth at least 5+ wins over '95 R.Johnson.

very interesting draft, there are many teams i considered at various times that never went - would have been nice to have '71 Stargell and Clemente for instance

Another wrinkle is that you can blacklist teams already selected.
