I guess in your magic land of unicorns, rainbows and dumbassery, ignorance really is bliss.
Go away. You're a mess. Sleep it off and come back tomorrow.

And, for gods sake, bring your A-game.
So are you still insisting that the Civil War was about the abolition of slavery?
The Civil War was about the South's desire to keep slavery legal.

Yeah.  That would be incorrect.  Sorry that you're incapable of understanding.

You keep saying that but we have the secession documents. The Southern states were very clear about why they were seceding.

MikeT writes dumbshit all the time, but I think he's just trying to provoke reaction because he spends a 40+ hours a week on these forums.

Tec is MikeT's lapdog and an ignoramus.
Do you have anything to contribute here, or are you just doing one of your "tec is stoopid" hit and runs?

Go away and don't come back until you have something intelligent to say.

Of course.  The southern states seceded because they feared that Lincoln would abolish slavery.

But Lincoln's intent in fighting the Confederacy was not to abolish slavery.  He had no desire to abolish slavery.  His intent in fighting the Civil War was to restore the Union.

Should I find smaller words that you can better understand?

I don't know why you think I don't understand that.

It doesn't change the fact that the South seceded because they wanted to hold on to slavery, which, as you already pointed out, caused the Civil War. Making the Confederate flag a symbol of the South's fight to continue owning black people.

White supremacy.

So the Confederate flag flying in public places in 2015 is because they want to bring back slavery?

Huh?

Not what I said.

Remember when you talked about how the flag was a symbol of Southern heritage?

That.

"the flag honors the heritage of the Confederacy."

These were your exact words.

The "heritage" is white supremacy.

No.  The "heritage" is a separate country, and honoring the soldiers who gave their lives trying to keep it separate from the Union.

Dumbass.

The separate country that was formed to protect slavery.

Dude, take my advice. Grab some winks. Come back tomorrow and try again.

You have trouble grasping complex concepts, don't you? And by "complex", I mean anything that goes beyond "duh".

I don't know if you have children, but if you do, please don't homeschool them.

You should take your own advice and delete your 13,000+ posts.
That's incredibly insightful. Thanks for your valuable contributions to this conversation.

We aren't even arguing at this point, you're just being funny.

You already said that the South seceded to protect slavery. What more is there to talk about?
