Why would someone purposely get skipped to “get a better pick for their other account?”
...if that was the case, why wouldn’t they just pick a lesser player with their first account, saving the better player for their second account without getting skipped? (not that anyone would do that)
I literally can’t see any possible strategic advantage to getting skipped on purpose, that theory makes no sense.
Yeah, I’ve been trying to explain in my head just how ludicrous it is and I just can’t stop laughing. I think the burner account thing was a joke by uptown, and even if it wasn’t who cares since people consistently have two teams in this league anyway. And the idea of “purposefully getting skipped”...like...it’s a draft, you’re not gonna skip Charles Barkley thinking he’ll last to your team that you REALLY want him on. And you’re just not gonna pick anyone for the first team? I’m sorry to keep this going, I’m just kinda in awe of all of it. And to blame the league for your misread....I dunno.
Would love to see you in another draft, Calgary. It’s really fun and you’d like it. But people miss their picks and there’s lulls, lives are being led (however much they can these days). There’s going to be some issues, but typically, this league has the least and there really wasn’t one here.
