Gallardo pitches a two-hitter to beat the Braves 1-0 on Tuesday night.

Wednesday night, the Brewers benefit from a horrible call at home plate when Fielder is ruled safe despite being tagged out by McCann, and hold on to win 5-4 as Axford seems to have regained his command.
Yea, that Fielder play was tough.  Dont know what Bill Miller saw but if the ball gets to homeplate before the runner and that runner happens to be Prince Fielders fat ***, theres no way to not tag that wide load before he slides in.  Anyways, that one play didnt define the game.  Easy to put just as much blame on walking the bases loaded with no outs in the first.

Brewers win, 4-2, in the series finale, giving them a three-game winning streak with the Cubs coming to town for the weekend.

Brewers drop the first game against Chicago, allowing four unearned runs in a five-run second and eventually losing 7-4. Randy Wolf's continues to struggle and I'm almost starting to think I'd rather have Manny Parra in the rotation.

My name is Yon Yonson,
I come from Wisconsin.
I work in a lumber yard there.
Everyone that I meet
When I walk down the street,
Says "Hello! What's your name?"
And I say: My name is Yon Yonson...

Chris Narveson strikes out nine Cubs in seven shutout innings and the Brewers even the series with a 6-0 victory. Prince hits doubles in his first three at bats.

Kermit = 1-0 and unscored on.

Yovani Gallardo follows up his complete game 2-hitter against Atlanta with a disaster of a five-inning, 104-pitch outing against the Cubs, but Casey McGehee's pinch-hit two run homer in the eighth lifts the Brewers to a 6-5 win and a rare series win over the Cubs at Miller Park.

Of course another chance for the meathead fans to blabber on about why the Cubs didn't keep McGehee.

Starting catcher Jonathan Lucroy comes off the DL, Brewers dump OF Jeremy Reed, keeping three catchers on the roster. Presumably one of them will be DFA'd when Corey Hart returns.
