If my livelihood depended on it, I'd respectfully reply.   Since there is no HBD livelihood, I'd give him the option on whether he'd prefer I kill his wife, kids or mother.

What is the longest you have held the top bid on a FA or an IFA without them signing? I have had too spot on a guy for 5 days now without having my bid topped. That's something crazy like 24-30 cycles. Also does patience dictate how quickly or lack there of an IFA or FA will sign?

In arbitration, what factors influence how much a player asks for? Is It based on his overall rating, or do his stats have more to do with it?

I assume his defensive position is a factor, correct?

I've had low level IFA top bids for so long I forgot about them.    Not sure how long you can be top bid or what really influences the signing time.

Pretty sure it's the combination of ratings/stats(maybe just playing time).    I'm sure the defensive ratings play into it.    IOW, you can't change a strong hitting SS's position to 1B to "game" the system.

Runners on 2nd and 3rd, no one out and the batter hits into a 6-2 fielders choice with no 'close call' at the plate. How is that not a + or ++ play? Are my base runners just morons?

I'm going with moron baserunners.   That should never happen.

With no outs, it shouldn't happen.   There are many ways to score from 3B with no outs or even 1 out.   Getting thrown out at home with no outs when it's not a force play is bad baseball.  It's unacceptable.
