Couldn't have asked for a better 1st period of the series if you're the Canucks. They were physical, generated tons of chances, limited Chicago to one odd man rush and Luongo made that big save he hasn't in the last two playoffs. I am the first one to say that it's never over til it's over, but the Canucks may have won the Stanley Cup in that period. Why? Because if Luongo plays at his best, there isn't a better team in the league.
As for the Hawks, Ben Smith looks out of place on this stage, Troy Brouwer is definitely not 100% and the depth issue shows. With all the top guns for both teams scoreless, the 3rd and 4th lines are making the difference.
