I guess you missed that stuff too, because they were talking a bunch about it on the NHL network in the past couple months when Toews was carrying the Hawks during that 8 game streak.  Do you pay any attention to anything other than the boxscores?

On a side note, watching CBC...is it normal I want to throw up every time I see Jacques Martin on TV? Also, how in the world does Craig Simpson still have a job...he's boring as hell.

I'll say it again...Toews is nowhere near "all-time elite" like Crosby, Lidstrom or Ovechkin, and I don't believe he's an "elite talent" in the category of Sid, Malkin or Ovi...that said, I think he is an elite captain.
