As someone who smokes weed or eats an edible a couple times a month, I'll say this:

- It definitely impairs your ability to drive. People that claim you can drive high no big deal are wrong.
- There's no way to really test for it in a DUI situation. THC stays in your system for days or weeks after use. But you aren't high.
- On the other hand, anyone who is willing to drive high now wasn't worried about whether or not weed was legal before.
- It's way easier on my late-30's body than alcohol
- You can't kill yourself with weed
- It's not addictive in the traditional sense. People can get "addicted" to weed like they get addicted to french fries but there isn't a withdrawal issue or anything like that.
- Big picture, it's relatively harmless when compared to opiods or benzos or a myriad of prescription drugs.
This explains a lot and why you're fat. Thank you for sharing.

I have no problem with the legalization of marijuana. There should definitely be an legal age limit. I'd say 21, but 18 is better than no age limit. As far as the dangers of pot, well, just like anything, if you overdo it, it can be harmful. I don't see it as being any more harmful than alcohol.
Bob, being that I have 2 teenage children (and a third that was a teenager until recently) I have attended quite a few meetings about marijuana. It is a danger to younger children. As a teenager, your brain is still developing, and it can affect the way your brain develops. That is why the legal age should be 18 at the youngest.
I have to admit I did smoke a decent amount when I was in my late teens and early 20s. I don't anymore. In the 21 +years since my first kid was born, I've smoked pot maybe 3 times and never around my children. I like the smoking pot, but I certainly can live just fine without it.
I just want warning labels and then people can do as they wish.

Will make you stupid and fat. That is all.

Long-term, chronic use of alchohol, tobacco, perscription drugs, fast food, sodium, sugar, certain hair products, certain supplements, and a million other legal things are just as, if not significantly more harmful than pot.

I'm not going to lose any sleep over legalization.
I think you missed my first post, which fine because I don't expect you to read every post, but I'm for the legalization of marijuana.
Got it, sorry.

marijuana use doesn't make you stupid. It can contribute to obesity, but a lot of Americans seem not need any help when it comes to obesity.

"So you are suggesting a legal age for marijuana?"

Not me man. Prior to age 18 it is the "families" business/role. Parents should KNOW what their child is doing and guiding/advising them. Young minds are overly impressionable and it seems to me that the less "alteration" of the brain's chemistry and communication the better.

Once a person reaches that magic # of 18, they should be "on their own" when it comes to these kinds of choices. The gov't should have no role. You want to be a pig and eat BBQ all day? Go ahead. You'll die sooner than the rest of us. And, as you've already shown us by the eating example, you're selfish and stupid, likely worthless and the rest of us would be better off without you......... so, in essence, good riddance. We have too many stupid people already in this Country. Millions and millions of them. Celebrate Valentine's day............. don't breed with the ignorant. Stop reproducing dummies!!
Do you feel this way on everything that we already have a legal age for? (i.e. cigarettes, alcohol, labor)
Pretty much Coach. Yeah. I have seen no proof (plenty of anecdotal evidence otherwise!!) that any Laws keep underage people from (say) drinking. Or anything else!! Alcohol usage has always been the #1 problem for teens. (Well maybe after suicide!)
All sorts of dumb young kids smoke NOW, illegally. And yes, kids should be allowed to work (WITH parental approval) without governmental intrusion.

I agree. As I said just put warning labels on it. Including..."will make you fat".
