Cory Schneider 44 saves on 45 shots, .977 save %.

6 - 0 - 2 as a starter.

I ask Canucks nation......How long until Cory is the starter in Vancouver??

not soon enough..Management has to justify the 10 freakin million we pay that f#ckin deabeat who is our current starter and biggest fraud the NHL has ever seen..we can win with Schneider but we are handcuffed by the friggin anchor..,its amazing this team perserveres and is a cup contentder with the deadbeat and his 10 million, just imagine how powerful this team would be if we could dump that salary on some unsuspecting team? hello Feaster?..buy into the hype fatso..cmon

Realistically, none of these games now matter. I just hope when it comes to playoff time, Gillis/Vigneault are smart enough to play the guy who gives them the best chance of winning. If that's Luongo, then great. But contract shouldn't matter. I trust Gillis' ego would be better served by winning a cup than trying to prove the Luongo contract was a good one.

Between the Luongo contract, the 2 year/20 mill offer to Sundin, and the fact that he inherited Kesler, Edler, and the Sedins (who he almost low-balled out of town), it kind of bothers me how it's now popular for the typical bandwagon flakey Canuck fan (99% of them) to view Gillis as some kind of genius.

Gillis still brought in Malhotra and Torres ,character guys that upgraded the 3rd line and made the Canucks one of the best face off teams in the league, true he resigned Luongo and handcuffed the team ,im hoping if the right deal comes by? he pulls the trigger and gets rid of the overated POS..if Schneider is the hot goalie they better play the kid ,whether its playoffs or not..i dont blame him for the Sundin deal, for the sole fact that this city has wanted a winner and he rolled the dice ,and he lost but nobody achieves greatness by sitting on their hands like Nonis,Burke and Quinn did..  being conservative  means you will never achieve greatness .. some of us flakey fans as you put it  want a gun slinger instead of the bar keep that ducks behind the bar when the bullets start flying..or guys that like different positions, not 40 different variations of missionary.. Gillis has ****** me off resigning luongo but ill take him any day over Burke's a$$ puppet Nonis  or stand pat Quinn..

Sundin also had a decent playoff  ..it was the mentally fragile idiot between the pipes that lost the series..i think if f#cknuts in net played even remotely good ..Sundin wouldve been a beast in the conference finals and the cup finals

Fucknuts looked pretty good tonight.

Team is in 1st place overall , all because Schnieder is our back up. We are freaking awesome. We shouldn't lose another game all season.

But if it was true as reported that Gillis offered Sundin a 2 year deal at 10 mill per, it would have meant the Sedins wouldn't have been signed before last season. I never actually heard that (Sundin) from Gillis's mouth, but why would he tell us. Remember Gillis wasn't big on the Sedins even when he signed them. Neither were a lot of other people but they've showed nothing but improvement each season. A team being led by a has-been Sundin sounds a lot like the Messier years.

Good doubleheader tonight with the Canada/US and Canuck game.  Be amazing if the Canucks could win tonight. Remember all these games are on the road where even great teams lose. I'm hearing Schneider tonight, good move. Maybe they're learning. No reason for Luongo to play consecutive nights ever again barring injury.

Another gutsy win last night. The boys are looking good. I was surprised to see Kesler playing as they said on BCTV sports that he would be sitting last nights game out.  Glad to have him in the line up though. He's definatly been the best player of the past month and a half.

I'm not sure myself but have the Canucks ever been #1 in the NHL standings before?

They've never finished first in the West, but have had stretches there before.

So the game in Detroit didn't happen?   I wanted to waive the guy after that game.
That's all we need is for Luongo to think he's good enough.

I can't defend the Wings game. That OT goal was brutal. You guys don't give enough credit when credit is due. Some people suggest that stats are for losers but he has been impressive in big wins vs Philly and the Avs. How come no one was on here blasting Schnieder for tripping over his feet in the game last night Vs the Sharks? Because he's not making big $$$? Who gives a sh!t what the player is making, just win baby.
