Interesting to note that the Brewers have a +0 run differential. Cards have a +46. Frustrating...

Every team in the AL Central has a negative differential. That's impressive!

Brewers win the opener in Houston 8-1; Craig Counsell singles as a pinch hitter in the ninth, snapping an 0-45 stretch that dated back to June 10. He was one at bat shy of tying the all-time record for consecutive hitless at bats for a position player. No sense of history!

Brewers are first team to turn a triple play and four double plays in a game since 1953 (Yankees).

Mark Attanasio says the Crew will attempt to keep Prince Fielder. He's either delusional or trying to avoid bad press.

Brewers sign both first-round picks, though they went signficantly over MLB-recommendations at each slot.

The Brewers finish off a 6-1 homestand, but scored only about 10 runs in doing it... starting to worry about the bats. Betancourt and McGehee are backsliding into the first half versions.

Am I the only one who finds it odd that the Blue Jays are accused of stealing signs, with the discrepency in their home and away stats used as evidence, yet the Brewers are 41 games better at home than on the road, and hitting like 40 points higher as a team?  That is insane and no park in baseball should account for that kind of discrepency.

um, the Cardinals accused the Brewers of stealing signs.

Also of using more intense light on the ribbon boards when the Brewers are batting to give Brewer hitters better visibility than their opponents.

Yes, they did.
