Only for the fact we could use 5-8 million to pick up the spare parts to win the cup Styckman..Luongo is decent,  a 10 million goalie he is NOT..him and his salary is hurting the team..what if we could pick up an Iginla or some other rent a player for the playoffs..cant we ever win the cup? ..is Vancouver  Hockey's cruel joke?..its like paying Edler 10 million..is he worth 10 Million?  No ...but he's a good Dman at 3 million

Luongo..........2nd star of ther month. Man , that guy has relly pulled the wool over everyone eyes but the three of you. Kudos to you.
will another  2nd rd  mental breakdown bring you over to the darkside?  in my opinion Schneider and Luongo are equal goalies...except of course for the cap hit

im waiting for the comments when Schneider has a bad game..the kid plays his heart out, is a rookie ,and has a great future here in Vancouver..but he is being compared to Luongo, who makes 10 million and is being constantly coddled by hardcore Vancouver diehard's who have never won crap, just like Luongo..how did Luongo do in the world jr's?...LOST ..never takes responsibility( see redwings game), throws his teamates under the bus..  We will never, ever, ever win a cup with Luongo as the starting goalie...ever

I have no problem with Schneider. I also think he's a great goalie. Don't think that I don't get p!ssed about the way that Luongo plays too randle. I just don't post my thoughts all the time. Like last night for example. When Luongo was hit in the head and he fell into his net like someone just sniped him from the seats. In fact, that was the first thing I thought of, you sitting up in the rafters with your sniper rifle. lol.

Schneider gets the start Vs the Oil tonight. The Oilers have given us fits this season. We need to blow these guys out of the water and put them back in their spot just above Calgary at the bottom of the conference. These are the type of games that are easy to blow though. Looking past to the Red Wings game tomorrow would not be advised.

Or...... the Canucks could just sit back, get badly outplayed and outshot, and win easily.

Schneider win think he's back in the AHL against the Oilcan.

Redwings will tear the Flames apart like a Lion on a wounded Gazelle tonite ..they will be too stuffed and tired afterwards to even be a competitive team on Saturday..I expect a easy win for Van City..tonite and Saturday..im looking for the tri fecta ..Canucks, Canucks and Packers..its all good

F#$K do the OILERS ever suck?  That was the easiest win ever.  Wow JUST Wow.............Alberta hockey is AHL quality at best????

Black Hawks would have a chance in our div............lol

well randle, canucks didn't do any better than calgary did.  both lost in the shootout.  still, van got a point and still leads the league, where calgary is not so high in the standings.  heh.  :>

true, God mike  true..this reg season is just going thru the motions..nobody really cares..i think Vancouver maybe needs a tough hard *** d man and a gritty bill guerin type forward at the deadline and we win the cup..this is really close for vancouver..we just need a couple pieces..Iginla and Regehr would give us the cup..and Iginla deserves to be on a winner

Howard stole that game from the Nucks. Looked like a great game from what I saw. Canucks had the most chances to win in regulation. I would love to have Iginla on the Canucks but I don't think he gets traded within the division unfortunatly. What going to happen when Salo comes back? Someone has to be moved. I would just assume that Salo be moved as we have not missed him. He has been great when he's playing but lets face it, he's injury prone. Maybe we could package up Salo and Torres for someone like Malone in TB? Just thinking out loud.

i agree, iginla deserves a cup, and it doesn't look like it's happening in calgary anytime soon, so the best thing for him and the team is to trade him for prospects.

not sure van has the cap room to afford him.  though by the trade deadline, he won't cost too much with what's left on the season.  not sure if you guys need anything more than a little luck with the way you've been playing lately.  at some point in the playoffs (probably third round, maybe even second) what it comes down to is luck.  the team that gets lucky more often takes home the cup.  iginla might help you guys, but even with him you're gonna need a little luck.  and of course perseverance.  gotta play sixty minutes a game if you want to hold stanley above your head.  :>

and i agree styckman.  no reason to mess with chemistry.  trade salo away.  he's a good d-man, but hasn't played a full season in how long?  :>
