I am starting this thread for current & former Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) members. The ODAC consistently ranks in the top 3-5 nationally in RPI. Over the last 2 seasons..10 of the 12 schools have made at least 1 post season appearance in the last 4 seasons. I will moderate this thread. All posts are welcome but the majority of these posts should be by or about ODAC schools/coaches

looks like you need to quit worrying about the washeonta and get your conferenc thread up to snuff!
juskiddin. I'll try to get you guys in. Ive prolly resisted a bit becuase of the "Washington" v. "washington and Lee" thing.
Im easily confused at times.
If you would change the name of your school to "Lee" or even "Lee and Washington" it would help.

Predictions for the East: 1. E. Mennonite 2. Guilford 3. Bridgewater (out of nowhere)
West: 1. W&L (that's an easy one) 2. Roanoke 3. Va Wesleyan
I think Lynchburg is set to get a bid in the postseason after a three year hiatus. W&L has an excellent chance to make a long run in the NT. I'm thinking Final Four.

Review predictions for season 19....

East: E.Mennonite (check), Guilford (check), Bridgewater (did not make the run I expected but did manage to consistently knock Lynchburg off)

  • Great run by dlwkmack at Hampden-Sydney to take 3rd
  • Lynchburg returned to the postseason with a PI bid (#6 seed)
West: W&L (check), Roanoke, (check), Va. Wesleyan (check-actually switch #2 and #3 but whatever)

  • 3 teams in the big dance (#1 E. Mennonite, #11 Guilford, #4 W&L)
  • 2 teams in the little dance (#6 Lynchburg, #6 Va. Wesleyan)

All I've been reading in the forums is the Heartland this/Upstate that..... The guys in those 2 conferences seem to forget that the ODAC is knocking at their heels. Despite being saddled with 3 DREADFUL SIMS, the ODAC has the #4 conf RPI. We are the only conference with 4 teams still playing in post-season play. We (along w/ the Heartland) have put 3 teams in the Sweet 16. For this season, as a conference we are 4-1 vs. the combined efforts of the Heartland & Upstate conferences. We are by no means disparaging the efforts of these 2 fine conferences....but we just want all of IBA to know that we are by no means retreating & are here to stake our claim as the top conference in IBA

Alright, here are my predictions for the ODAC "season 20". This is subject to change after recruiting is over (JUCO's could make an immediate impact, frosh not so much.)

I will start with the beasts of the East. It will be another very competitive season in the East with 4 teams that I believe have a legit shot at winning it and I expect at least 3 to make the NT.

1. Guilford (return 4 starters from sweet 16 team but backcourt is a bit unproven)

2. Bridgewater (very good but still young)

3. Lynchburg (the PI runner-up returns alot but could need some help at point guard.)

4. E. Mennonite (lost alot off of a great team (sweet 16 and undefeated in conf.) but still very good. Little bit of a rebuild.)

5. Hampden-Sydney (looks like dwlkmack is rebuilding this season)

6. Emory and Henry (Sim coach and young)

Now for the West. I think some up and coming teams could challenge Wash. and Lee for the title this season.

1. Washington and Lee (also lost a lot off an elite 8 appearance, but should return enough to continue their streak)

2. Roanoke (returns all 5 starters? it is up to bridgebum to help them reach their potential ;) )

3. Washington and Jefferson (Should be much improved from last year but ulcardfan is still working on his rebuild)

4. Bethany (should be a solid season with 4 seniors returning)

5. Virginia Wesleyan (new coach takes over a solid group of returning players)

6. Randolph-Macon (Sim coach, and just not good)

Bgewater - (should see post season play)
E. Mennonite (definitely will make NT)
Emory and Henry (Sim)
Guilford (NT, probably will take conf. title, will battle E. Mennonite for it.)
Hampden-Sydney (Inexperienced, need good recruiting class)
Lynchburg (Should see post season play and will be very competitive.)

washington & Lee - (Will be the team to contend with in hte west, should see post season play)
Roanoke - (Will be very competitive, should do well)
