Team Names- Whatever you darn well feel like calling 'em. They're your teams after all...
* Draft Times- Draft Times are (EST) same as WIS time.
* At Midnight (EST) the next days picks can begin, regardless of Missed Picks. This will help get the next Day's Round started the night before. I am up late and can take Midnight Proxies if you'd like. I can take daytime/evening proxies as well.
* Draft Order Each Season will be set based upon your 15 Keepers Salaries, lowest total salaried teams will Draft first. There should be so much talent out there each season that we should all be able to add 10 pretty darn productive players (or future studs) to our teams each season.
* Hitters & Starting Pitchers can begin their League careers in either their first $5 million+ salaried season, or an earlier cheaper season if you prefer. (Also aplicable to Hitters/Starting Pitchers that don't have a $5 million Season. In these cases, you may choose any season to begin with, i.e.- Oscar Gamble.)
* Relief Pitchers can begin their League careers in their first $3 million+ season, or begin at any earlier cheaper season beforehand.
* This is to ensure that we all have a team full of usable players instead of teams full of Rookies that have 200 PA's and hit .215 for 3 years... You can always opt for a lower season. A lot of great reliever seasons are less than $3 mil, and many of the great Part-time players and pinch hitters will be less than those benchmarks as well.
* The season you choose as owner will be the season that player will be officially “Born into the League” season.
********************************************************************************
Other specifics:
* Players that are in the WIS database as BOTH pitchers and hitters (i.e. Babe Ruth/ BobCaruthers)-- the Drafter will be able to choose the Drafted Player as either a Pitcher or Hitter and start their career accordinglt based on the $5 million+ rule above.
* Pitchers that had careers as both starters and relievers (such as Dennis Eckersley and Hoyt Wilhelm) can be Drafted as either a Starter and can be "born into the League" beginning in either 1975 ($4.8 mil) or 1976 ($5.5 mil).
OR Eck can be drafted as a Reliever in which case he would be born into the League" beginning in 1987 ($3.7 mil).
* Once the “Born into the League” Season is set, all Drafted Players Progress Season to Season as in any other Progressive.
* Keep 15 Players each season and Cut 10. Those 10 cut players (240 in all each season) will progress as well and can be Drafted any time from season to season by any team as Cut Free Agents. They will be tracked and listed in a Thread alphabetically for Pitchers & Hitters and progress chronologically wether drafted or not until they are officially retired.
* Seasons 2, 3, 4, ect. Draft Player Pools will consist of any Rookies not yet brought into the League, or any previously Cut Free Agents that progress each year wether they are on someone's team or not. So for guys with a few productive seasons over a career, they may be jobless durring their down seasons and redrafted when they hit another good season.
* War Exemptions- (Passed w 16+ Votes) Players such as Ted Williams, Joe Dimagio, Hank Greenberg, Bobby Doerr, ect. can skip their Baseball gap durring their service years and go into their next active WIS Season. WWI, WWII, Korea... if you can find evidence that your player missed a season due to military service, you can fast forward them to their next usable WIS season.
