Whats wrong with Boise? They beat Oregon who won the Pac 10?

The Pac-10 was terrible this year

It doesn't matter how bad the Pac10 sucked. Boise St is still undefeated.

The BCS+1 system was proposed to eliminate the undefeated team from being snubbed. Well, if it was in place this year it would have done exactly what it was instilled to prevent. Snub an undefeated team.

There are 120 Division I football teams. There will NEVER be a system that fairly decides one champion.

If you are going to do a BCS playoff it needs to be 8 teams, eliminate the extra games that have been added to the schedule the last few years. Give the BCS Conferences each an auto bid and have 2 at-large teams. Seed the teams based on the BCS Rankings.

The worst part about all of this is that the BCS goes and hides the two non-BCS teams in the same game so they aren't given a chance to show how good they are against the Big Boys. TCU is the best team in the Nation and I was really hoping they wouldn't be idiots about this and put TCU v Florida.

We really need a BCS +1 System. Lets have a a 4 team playoff, using the BCS standings to seed the top 4. Instead of allowing two more at-large bids, the extra BCS bowl could be used to play the Championship game between the winners of the two semifinal games. Alabama, Texas, Cincinnati, & TCU should be in the bracket.

So which do you want, a Plus 1 or a 4 team playoff? They are NOT the same thing, despite what the media would have you believe. Oh and 8 is the magic number...4 is still too few.

eights too low. lets make it 16!!

Uhhh 4, 8, or 16, take your pick. If you don't think that more teams in the aforementioned increments makes the process more fair than choosing 2 teams out of 120, you're insane.

The Pac10 actually had a good year BCS wise. There were six teams in the top 30 last I looked.

TCU-Boise is stupid pairing beyond belief.

At least one of them is guaranteed to finish undefeated...

I hope the Fiesta Bowl's ratings are crap like they should be. I was looking forward to seeing both those teams play a major conference team. The Fiesta could of had Cinci but they chose Boise because their fans travel well. I'm sure TCU is excited.....they go undefeated and make a BCS bowl and earn themselves a huge matchup with.....Boise St! Yay!

TCU and Boise playing make sense, imagine if the 3 undefeated teams not in the championship all won and than you have 4 undefeated teams at the end of the season. At least this way you're only guaranteeing 2 undefeated teams and at least a little less controversy. As much crap as this system gets I like it because it's different and games in week 2 actually matter unlike in any playoff system. Maybe it doesn't decide a true national championship but in an odd way I think it may do a better job than single elimination playoffs deciding a champion. Anybody can win in a 1 game scenario, that doesn't prove you are the better team. In this system you are judged on your entire season and the teams that are deemed the 2 best play for the title.
