The draft order is based on the standings of the previous season (owners are rewarded for a successful season). If you finished tied with another team, the tiebreaker is "net runs scored/allowed".

ALSO THERE IS A CORRECTION ON MY ABOVE STATEMENT, St. Louis Browns are still eligible because when they moved to Baltimore they didn't keep the Browns name. They made it Orioles. This is not the case though for teams like Athletics, Giants, Dodgers, etc.

Congrats to dorkster for kicking the 93 Dodgers *** in 4 games in the 1st WS. Just watch out for Slammin' Sammy, Raffy"I did not do steroids" Palmeiro, Melvin Mora and Javy Lopez and the boys from Baltimore next season. That team doesn't plan on getting shutdown like the Dodgers.
