I just ETSU for Va. Tech. Va. Tech had a higher prestige by 1/3 of a letter grade. When I was at ETSU I was at A+ loyalty. Now after taking this job I am at a D+. In the long run it doesn't really matter, but that's pretty screwed up.

On a side not anyone looking to move up in Crum, take a look at ETSU, solid returning group, in a great mid level conference. SHould be able to make a tourney run in year 1.

Well, what do you think of Brian Kelly's loyalty?
12/23/2009 11:55 AM
I think he's fine. Would have been stupid not to.

Really Z? Have you seen Cincy's facilities?
12/23/2009 12:15 PM
Cincy was making huge upgrades to the facillities

Have you heard the unreasonable expectations that Notre Dame has year in and year out?

Not only were they upgrading them, Brian Kelly will have no home life as he recruits the nation and he will never live up to expectations. He'll never make Notre Dame relevant on the national picture.

To be fair to Kelly, nobody can possibly live up to Notre Dames foolish expectations.

I think all of this is the difference between successful people and those who are not. Successful people rise to challenges that others avoid. Successful people also tend to have huge egos and I am sure Kelly thinks he will be different. Are there better places than ND, yes, but Cincy, or any school in the Big East is not one of them.

Now lest get back to my question, why did my loyalty dip so far?

Because you took a new job.

I get that, but to drop 3 whole letter grades to move to a Big 6 school seems too much. Maybe that's just me.

Are you planning on moving again soon? Unlikely, it doesn't matter it is how the game works. You were unloyal to your old school, did you take a better job? Yeah sure, but that doesn't mean you were loyal to your old school because, well you weren't.
12/23/2009 12:55 PM
You are right, I don't plan on leaving, so it doesn't really matter, it just seems excessive. Loyalty should be relative not an absolute.
12/23/2009 12:57 PM
You were unloyal to your past school, so your loyalty rating dropped. I don't see any problem with that. There really isn't any argument here as to if you were or were not loyal.
