1: 90 84 97 89

2: 77 83 73 81

3: 71 80 71 81

4: 77 89 88 91

5: 80 88 56 56 (forget him, not acquired)

Now, I'm trying to acquire player 5, so he isn't a sure thing. Forget about offense; make your opinions based on D alone.

Thoughts with 5 included and without. I'm torn between several layouts.

Thanks!

With 5-- agree with Wired except I'd play 3 in LF, not RF.

Without 5-- play 2 in CF and move 3 to 3B.

Pretty sure that's how I'm going to go, and I'm pretty sure that's how the other thoughts would go if they knew 5 wasn't an option.

Yup.

5 is a very borderline CF, imho.

Other than 1 (who you need at SS), the rest would be trainwrecks out there.

1. SS

2. 2B/LF

3. RF

4. 3B

Why you'd put 2 at 3B ahead of 4 makes no sense.

Couldn't you get away with 2 or 4 in CF if one of the other ones was in LF or RF. Wouldn't the additional range in the COF make up for the lower range in CF?

Why did you put the 83 glove at 2B rather than the 89?

Are you choosing your 3B based on AS, then giving 2B the overs?

1. SS
2. CF
3. 2B
4. 3B

I wouldn't waste any of these guy's defensive talent at LF or RF. #1 goes to SS - best all around defensive player - #4 goes to third due to the stronger, most accurate arm remaining, #2 goes to CF due to better range than #3, leaving #3, who I'd play at 2B, without knowing his offensive abilities, his range isn't ideal, but the rest of his defense makes up for it. I'd only play an offensive stud at LF or RF.

and i would pick up a better defensive CF and drop one or both of the 99 power turds

I'm at a loss why so many people put one of their worst defenders at 2B... a place that gets the second most chances.
