WHEN YOU GET FIRED.... Topic

I got fired from Maryland in Tark. I can't even access the world right now. It said new coach signups begin Jan 11th.

I have 2 questions:

1. For those in Tarkanian, are jobs available right now?

2. Also, shouldn't I get dibs at a different job right away?

Yes, jobs are available. After you get fired, you have to apply for jobs just like someone without a job does (i.e. after the regular process is over and the world open to new coaches).

NO! (to mniven)

You have to apply for jobs during the Hiring Process. It just happened to me not too long ago at Michigan in Knight. I had to apply just like I was leaving when I came back a couple seasons later.

Ehh I think he has BOTH options open. I've not been fired, but as I understand he can apply like he was moving from job to job.. IF that doesnt work, he can grab a team in the unemployed period..

Hey chew or anyone with a team in Tark, Would you mind posting your history at Maryland? I am just curious as to what type of performance leads to getting fired. Thanks.

My bad if that is the case, but I could have sworn I did it as I described. Maybe if you don't have any seasons remaining you have to wait for the new coaches signup period?

Chew's firing seems much more abrupt to me than firings normally are. I don't think I would have seen this coming if I were him.

there were 4 firings in tark this season, which seems to be much higher than the usual average. maybe WIS is cracking down?

seems really quick to me - now expectations may be high at Maryland - but still

That seems realistic IRL, but a little quick based on past HD history..

I got turned down at my dream D1 job...Jackson State in Tark...*tear*

Coach, thank you for your interest in joining our program. Unfortunately, we are looking for a coach who has demonstrated the ability to infuse a consistent winning atmosphere.

Is the firing more lenient at non Big 6 programs? Like, if you're in the Southland or other low-prestige conference do you have a lot more lenience in not making the NT and such?

Were you listed as better than a longshot (and if so how)? You have only played 2 seasons in D2, both at different schools...and both several seasons apart..?
