I wanted to start releasing a coaches poll every 2 days. I wanted to see who would be interested in helping me compile these polls. Clearly, the more coaches the better and the more experienced coach the better.

You would send me your Top 25 in Naismith every 2, 3, or 4 games and I would combine everyone's polls and post it.

25 pts for a 1st place vote, 24 for 2nd, etc.

Anyone interested in doing this?

Sure. Although...you really need to get a majority of the Big 6 coaches in for this to work. (No offense to former conference mate and National Champion Mccabemi).

Not necessarily mmt. A poll with a human mindset of any kind will be better than the engine's. Im not in the Big 6 but I still know that a 3-4 team shouldnt be in the Top 25. It won't be perfect but it will be better.

Is the goal to just be better then the engine or to be as accurate as possible.

No poll is going to be perfect. Speaking for myself, even though it has no relevance to seeding as the engine's poll does, I would enjoy looking at a human generated poll more than the engine's.

Im not going to keep a poll if it's clearly submitted just to mess things up. If I think someone is not being serious, I will delete thier submission.

As I stated above, just because Im not in the ACC, Big 12, Pac 10, etc I still know better than the engine about who should be ranked where. I still pay attention to the rest of Division I.

Not really a cap. I'm hoping to get 40 or so. I figure that 15 random coaches will miss a deadline every time so a combination of 25 coaches should always submit.

Between this and my 72 team FC dynasty tournament I run, this should keep me busy. :-)

Why isn't this just in the Naismith forum?

Because it will get more visibility from possible aliases to get it going. When the actual poll starts, it will be in the Naismith Forum.
