More to the point, can you explain how you allowed your team to have only EIGHT healthy hitters for seven full cycles of HBD?

It was an abandoned team I inherited.

Moral of the story:

Don't play pitchers as position players. In what reality would the Yanks DH CC Sabbathia for 7 straight games?

This is hilarious. Playing as a _DH_ wore the guy to a nubbin? Did the guy at least get on base? I'd hate to think he found striking out too draining.

He actually went 7 for 29 with 2 SB's, 3 runs and 2 RBI as the DH in AAA. He was down to 62% fatigue after 3 games at DH and 34% after 7 games. . . and 95 cycles later he's at 62%

I believe that it happens that way so people wont try and save money by skimping on the minors (from what I read) In that regard, I have no problem with the way it works.

I'm a little concerned that an abandoned team could have big time pitching prospects potentially permanently ruined in such a short time. Even a very attentive Commish will have virtually no chance of getting a replacement owner in place in less than 7 cycles. It's not good for a World to have franchises ruined. But I can certainly see the need to keep people from skimping on the minors.

The same reality that DHing Sabbathia for 7 games would wear him down so much he can't pitch for 100 games.

Braz gets gassed just picking up a bat.

But, he's in his mid 80's, so just breathing is good.

Exactly. Neither would happen so I go back to the Moral of the Story.

I think its just a BS excuse by Admin to explain the flaw in their game. The disadvantage of using a pitcher in the field is already factored into the game in the results of poor performance. Which is inline with real life and is realistic, adding in a extreme unrealistic penalty does not add to the game but detract from the game.

In your opinion. In my opinion, it's an excellent addition to the game. The Yankees would not give their pitchers AB at DH. So neither should you. But, if you do, you know you've ruined him for pitching for quite some time. Therefore, you won't try to skate by with 9 position players and 11 pitchers to save cap space.

BRAVO, WIFS!! BRAVO!!!
