I would like to make the rule you must win 40 games by the 120 game mark or drop to the 9th spot out of the lottery. I now it is harsh, but it was my original intention. I want to know everyone's thought.

Dropping to the #9 spot is definitely not too harsh. With two rookie classes to draft from, the #9 pick will still be a very solid one.

I think drop to 9 is too much, maybe drop to 5th spot and 40 games is ok

I think 40 wins by game 120 is fair, as is dropping to ninth for failing to meet that level. Of course, I say this wondering just how good my team will be.

On another note, I'll have my team in Thursday.

40 by 120 or drop to 9th is my vote. I hate tanking.

Eventually I want to run my own progressive. I was thinking this for antitanking and anti pick grabbing.

teams 24th-13th random for 1st to 12th pick

teams 12th-7th random for 13th to 18th pick

teams 6th-1st random for 19th to 24th pick

Actually I am not looking to accuse owners of tanking or even looking for it. I am looking for every team to be competitive. I seen too many times owners with just pathetic records, not winning even 25 games for entire season and the team is so fatigued that the stats get really out of wack. I don't think it is unreasonable to win 50 games by seasons end. Only two teams in the last 50 years I thinks have not won that many in MLB

First 8 pick determined by random.org

8th worst-35%

7th worst-20%

6th worst-15%

5th worst-10%

4th worst-8%

3rd worst-7%

2nd worst-3%

1st worst-2%

next 8 picks determined by random.org

16th worst-35%

15th worst-20%

14th worst-15%

13th worst-10%

12th worst-8%

11th worst-7%

10th worst-3%

9th worst-2%

the playoffs teams would be normal worst to first final 8 spots

This would give the bottom 8 teams incentitive to win and not have the worst record.

The next 8 teams have incenitve to try to make the playoffs and if they don't they improve their draft slot

I didn't do this one cause I thought it might be to radical for my first commish job and I didn't want to scare anyone away
