Applying for multiple jobs Topic

Will it matter what order you applied if you are qualified for multiple?
Will it go with higher prestige?

I don't want to play musical chairs and not have a seat.

I think, but I am by no means certain, that it goes in the order that you applied in. As for the musical chairs part...Been there, done that and yeah it does suck not having a seat when the song's done.

It will take them in the order you applied, however if you are in a battle for a school with someone else, it will usually wait on that vacancy and move to the next open job. If all jobs are in competition, then you could end up on the short end if you don't have the prestige.

You should be able to ACCEPT or DECLINE jobs that you've applied for and "passed the interview" for...that's how it would happen in real life...you wouldn't just accept the first job you applied for.

But real life is the most random thing of all. To equate something that happens in a Sim with real life is just ludicrous......

except this sim is based upon real life.

Unworkable. Completely. If a coach didn't sign on until right before jobs closed, they could feasibly be accepted and "passed" for multiple schools and tie them up.

Right, because the job application process directly correlates with how the game results are produced...........

Nothing is unworkable...just because you don't have a solution, doesn't mean that a solution doesn't exist. A lot of people simply like to throw their hands up and say "not possible"....exhibit A....

You know, if you stop posting, people might stop thinking you're a complete idiot. You know, people new to the game who can't see the threads you speak in... Maybe it's not unworkable, but the only way to make it work well would be to have AT LEAST 5 or 6 rounds of job applications and coaches accepting/declining positions. That would waste a lot of time and generally **** off the majority of coaches who just want to stay put and move on to the next season. The system right now is perfectly reasonable, perfectly workable, and generally acceptable as a simplistic method of doing the job.

I agree. I really don't like the idea of coaches putting out multiple applications to their dream job and then having a safety school as a "back-up"...they're applying for coaching positions, not college.

You jabbed about comments I have made about how the engine simulates games and I returned fire...I understand completely what you're doing here. Its ok for you to be sarcastic but if I am.....good god no!

Colonels how can you not see it's hypocritical to your own argument about how games should be simmed to say game sims shouldn't 100% reflect real life because it's a sim but then state the job process should 100% reflect real life? It's one or the other, you can't have it both ways just so it's convenient to how you think things should work.

I can sense this thread turning into a 100+ post thread where colonels is clearly wrong but refuses to admit it because he's the most stubborn person on the planet.
