CAP--120 million cap (but shouldn't need it) WW---NO WW DH-----None TRADES---YES to trades (trading of draft slots also allowed) AAA--YES (6/4 Avg) LIVE----40 games live (playoffs must be played live) If you miss the minimum you will be dropped from the league. ( It will take a majority vote to get you reinstated into the league!) STADIUM---when you sign up (i'll pick mine 7th) DRAFT------Random, snake style draft for Season 1--Starting in 1964-- Round One-The World Series winner will draft 12th. The World Series loser will draft 11th. The other 10 teams will be put into groups of 5 based on their records. The 5 worst W-L in one group and the next 5 in another. The 5 team groups will be randomized for the round one order. This means the 5 worst teams all have a shot at the # 1 pick. (All ties will be broken by # of live games played!!) Only players from the master list created by me (flawed as it may be) are eligible to be drafted! Round Two to finish-Teams will draft based on their regular season records only with no regard to post season<DIV who get a round behind in the draft (for example your pick comes up in round 5 and you haven't made a round 4 pick) may have their late pick made by the commish. (please use proxies!)
<DIV
Any team may drop 1 player from thier keeper list at any point as long as they are still participating in the current draft. This player will be returned to the player pool. The team wishing to drop the player will recieve a supplemental pick which will be placed at the end of the round two rounds AFTER thier final pick. (IE if the team is finished drafting in the 3rd round thier supplemental pick will be the last pick of the 5th round.)

KEEPERS---UNLIMITED FORMAT--12 teams, 2 playoff spots, interleague

PRIZES---After every 5th season (ie 63-67, 68-72)) WIS will provide a $33.33 GC to be dished out this way--

? $16.67 to owner with best regular-season winning percentage over the first five seasons, provided live minimum is met in each season. If best % does not qualify, money will be awarded to the owner with the best 5-year win % who has met the minimum in all five seasons. ? $10.33 to owner with most cumulative live losses over the first five seasons. To encourage live play even when your team emits an unpleasant odor. ? $6.33 to owner with highest cumulative percentage of live league games, with at least three seasons in the league. To provide an incentive for new people to fill vacant spots.

When we get to 1969 we will add teams through an expansion draft.<!-- Message body -->

Hey y'all

This is a GREAT proggy that started in 63...we are moving to the 69 season very soon (WS will begin in a few days).

We are expanding from 12 to 16 teams ...3 of the 4 expansion teams are spoken for (the 4th one was taken but that person dissapeared from the site)

California (dodger stadium) is the team that is available and through an expansion draft last season the new owner will own the rights to:

Rick Monday OF
John Hiller P
Pete Mikkleson P
Casey Cox P

Ok here is how the expansion draft will work:

In 1969 All of the current teams will make 4 players available to the expansion draft. (after keepers are submitted)

There will be a 3 round expansion draft for the 4 new teams (random order)
NO TEAM CAN LOSE MORE THAN 1 PLAYER DURING THIS DRAFT!

In the 1969 draft the 4 expansion teams will pick 1-4 in the 1st round only!

After the first round in the 69 draft, the expansion teams will be inserted into random draft slots, rather than just picking at the beginning or end of the draft. If the random slots they drew were, for example, 4-7-9-14, the draft order starting with Round 2 would be:
1-1st-worst record among returning teams
2-2nd-worst record among returning teams
3-3rd-worst record among returning teams
4-EXPANSION TEAM (that drafted 4th in Round 1)
5-4th-worst record among returning teams
6-5th-worst record among returning teams
7-EXPANSION TEAM (that drafted 3rd in Round 1)
8-6th-worst record among returning teams
9-EXPANSION TEAM (that drafted 2nd in Round 1)
10-7th-worst record among returning teams
11-8th-worst record among returning teams
12-9th-worst record among returning teams
13-10th-worst record among returning teams
14-EXPANSION TEAM (that drafted 1st in Round 1)
15-11th-worst record among returning teams
16-12th-worst record among returning teams

A supplemental draft between the 3rd and 4th rounds for all teams losing a pick (draft order) will also be in effect.

Post interest here or sitemail me.
