Hmmmm.

Why reward people for being in empty conferences with 1 good team?

If I was the sole team in a D1 conference, make the NT and got bounced, I would get $20k.

In a full conference we'd need to play 12 NT games to get equal cash? No thanks.

That makes sense, what about making it a percentage of the total then if there is 1 or 2 teams in a conference and the rest SIM AI, I just don't like the fact that these teams get the share of the money that the other humans worked hard at getting.

I'm with reinsel - implement this suggestion and you'll see people building effort-free dynasties in the crappiest conferences - 20 wins a season and you get more for your first-round NT loss than all but the very best conferences get, total? Bad idea.

Give me a B prestige and 20-40K of extra money every year, I could do some serious damage. And that's without really trying.

And the sims didn't help at all shag? Did they all go 0-26?

SIMS don't use money ... well, if they do it is at a set value for distance.

They do not spend any more for a 3000 mile recruit than a 300 mile recruit.

LOL nope, but what I am saying is you have 2-3 human coach teams who make it to the post season every year, and lets says its 40k per year, that is an extra $3333 every year, but the SIM's don't help at all with regard to earning that money, and yes those 2-3 SIM AI teams that go 0-26 every season would get an extra $3333 every season. I would rather reward the human coaches more then the SIM AI's.

Granted they may not use money, but they get a share of the overall conference money earned.

they do use money. THe don't worry about distance.

And those sims contribute to the conference by winning noncon games, and losing to the NT teams, at least as much as the doormats of the full conferences do.

But they do not actually contribute to earning the post season money. They hardly make the post-season, and if ever make it that far if they do.

So what, neither do some of the lousy human coached teams, you want to cut them out of their share too?

So you wouldnt want more recruiting money if you were in a conference with say 3 SIM AI coached teams, and you Bust your A** to make it to the Post Season every season?

Again, so you think you should get a monetary benefit because you have more sims in your league, and thus an easier path to the post-season? No.

Agreed.

Also what happens if a SIM team is picked up by a human. Do they then get the recruiting money or are they handicapped the first year because a SIM was running them the previous season. Doesn't seem right to me.

Every team in your conference contributes to your record, good or bad, wins or losses, and therefore should be rewarded with any conference money made in the postseason.

In the Big Ten in Football, all money earned from bowl games goes into one big pot and is split evenly between all 11 schools, regardless of who made what bowl.

Splitting the money evenly between all schools is an attempt at leveling the playing field, with the hope that it will help the bad teams in your conference get better.
