Has anyone ever successfully run with a 10-man staff? What's the lowest # of ML roster pitchers you've seen be successful?

I'll have a 4-man starting rotation next season, with one of the long relievers coming in for spot starts.

Not a good idea

In world DoubleDay, I had 11 pitchers on my staff all season. One of those pitchers stayed in the mopup role all year and only pitched 6.2 innings. In essence, you could say I had a 10-man staff.

and I won 101 games.

I run 12. I'd prefer 11, but the staff just can't handle it.

I usually run 11, unless I have a really good RP with low DUR/STA. Then I need the extra arm for the season and go with 12.

I almost always have 12.

I usually go with 11. 5 SP 2 LR types 2 SU types and a Closer. Then I use the last pitching spot where I see useful.

Because of a roster situation with one of my teams I am going with a 10 man to start the season tomorrow. Making use of the 2 early off days I think I wont need an 11th until 16 games in.

At that point I am hoping my other roster issues shake themselves out.

I use 11, and most of my relievers have stamina in the 40s and 50s.

I often use 10 for the first 22 days of the season, and it's usually breaking down right about then. I can't imagine 10 working over the full 179 days without a major sacrifice in quality to obtain high stamina pitching.

11-13. I could probably get by with a 10 on the teams I've had 11 but I don't really have a need for 7 bench players on a NL team. So there's no reason not to have an extra arm in case you hit a run of extra inning games.

Are your four starters 85+stamina/30 durability types? If they are then you could conceivably do it. Anything less than that and you will have fatigue issues.

I would rather do it with a 5 man rotation still, but have a bullpen with 85+ DUR/35-40ish STA guys only.

Alright, i'll aim for at least 11. I have 3 80+/30 in the rotation, the other is 65/30.

I run an 11 man staff, and have for every season. 5 starters, 2 long relievers (one of which could step in to start), 3 set up and a set up/closer (depending if I have a stamina </=18).

I just checked and I have had at least four teams finish only using 10 pitchers for the season. All of them ran 4-man rotations.
