Aurelio Valdes was a guy i just signed today, and this is already what he currently ranks, has anyone else seen anything like this? I know i havent but i dont do IFA normally. And i dont mean a player that projects this good, i mean one already this good when he signs.

Well at 23, he's probably not getting much better. To bad those splits weren't switched around. Good player nonetheless.

If by AL, you mean minor leagues, so he can develop into a real catcher, I agree completely.

23 years old and 37 make-up.   I wouldn't count on a lot of development in the majors or minors.

For $28m, it's a shame that he's a lousy defensive catcher but he sure will crush the ball.

First year pro. He'd develop enough to be a passable ML catcher (not good defensively, but not the liability he is now).

He's not horrible at catcher not but I doubt he improves at 23. First year or not.

Albert Gimenez

I signed that guy eaelier this season.  A bit more improvement potential  than Valdes.  He's be starting in the bigs already, but I've got All-Stars at 1B and DH.
