Extreme League season 6 needs 2 replacements Topic

The Extreme League is in need of replacement owners for upcoming season 6.  If you want to claim a team, or have questions, please post them here or send me a site mail.  The draft should begin on or about September 13.

All players will be drafted in their rookie year, and as soon as they’ve been drafted they will proceed through their career until their real-life retirement. For example, in League Season One Babe Ruth’s 1915 season will be simmed and Pedro Martinez’s 1993 will be simmed, in League Season Two the league will sim Ruth 1916 and Martinez 1994, and so on. If players are cut they continue progressing through their careers as Free Agents unless/until drafted again onto another team. After their ‘retirement’ players will be cast into limbo for a season before they’re reintroduced as draftable rookies. Every player in the WiS database is eligible to be drafted in the Extreme Progressive League.   The restrictions are few and the rules are short.

RULES
-          No salary cap
-          No DH, no WW
-          Drafted players progress through the league beginning as rookies in the season they were drafted. A cut player continues progressing as a Free Agent. Players drafted after the inaugural season begin as rookies in the season they were drafted.
-          Disputes: In the event of a dispute where there is no operative rule or guideline, or if their interpretation is unclear, the commissioner will make a ruling.  If three or more owners object to the ruling, the commissioner’s view does not stand and the issue is brought to all the owners through a vote which will be notified to all owners through a sitemail.
-          Rules Change:These can be discussed at any time.  The first owner to want a rule change should start a thread and we’ll use that going forward to discuss any changes.  However, in order to protect owners from having to vote constantly or on frivolous issues, a proposal to make, modify or eliminate a rule must be seconded by three or more owners in addition to the proposing owner before it can be voted on.
-          Voting:Each owner gets one vote.  Majority rules on all votes.  Majority mean the majority of owners who vote, not the majority of owners.  However there must be at least 14 votes cast on any issue for the vote to be valid.  The commissioner does not vote unless there is a tie; then he/she is the deciding vote.  The commissioner does however set the time deadline within which the voting must take place.
-          Lottery: Must win 30 by 120 to be eligible for 4-team lottery.

Switching stadiums-

Owners must remain in a stadium for at least 5 seasons. If this condition is met they may switch stadiums.

- Every stadium in the WIS database is eligible to be used.
- Owners may not move to a stadium already in use.
- Stadium selection will begin sometime during the season, and selected stadiums will be used by that owner beginning the upcoming season.
- Dropped stadiums will be eligible to be added by another owner during the same stadium draft.
- Stadium selection will be on a first come/first get basis. The commissioner will give advance notice that a stadium draft thread is going to be created and when owners may begin drafting stadiums.
- Owners getting new stadiums will not cause a realignment of teams and/or divisions.
