P1 - Projections: 77(OVR) , 62(STA), 84(CTRL), 86/78 (VS. L/R), 23 (VEL), 36 (GB/FB), 83/74/76/54/67 (PITCH RATINGS)
P2 - Projections: 83 (OVR), 82 (STA), 98 (CNTRL), 71/79 (VS. L/R), 33 (VEL), 94 (GB/FB), 76/79/56/55/27 (PITCH RATINGS)
I was going to say thatI'd go with Pitcher #2, but after further review, Id go for Pitcher #1.
Both pitchers will be successful, productive major leaguers if they reach 95% of their projections (which is the measure I use, to manage my own expectations). Both are equally able to reach their projections, or close to it, without suffering a string of debilitating injuries.
Pitcher #1 and #2 will have a comparable vR - Advantage - draw
Pitcher #2 will have much better control - Advantage #2 by a wide margin
Pitcher #1 will have better pitches, leading to fewer homeruns*, and lower BAVG - Advantage #1
Pitcher #1 will be more effective vs Lefties - Advantage #1
* That Pitcher #2 has such a better groundball rating is encoraging, however if his pitches dont match up, he may give up more line drive hits, while pitcher one gives up fly ball outs
Really though, either one would be a very strong #3 starter, workable #2 starter
