Then, to determine what year roster you will use, you will get a random number based on the years they were in existence. Example: Random.org spits out a 31 (A's). You will then get a random number from 1901-1955 and that will be your season. Obviously if you get the Mets I will just randomize the years 1962-2010.
You have $110 mil to twist the players on your team any way you see fit (e.g., to when they played with other teams). You can twist any number of the players on Two (2) of your teams. You must designate your third team and you only get one pitcher and one hitter to twist from that team. No other players are available off this team. In addition, whatever team you choose as your 3rd team is the stadium you must play in from that year. So, if you designate the 1987 Cardinals as your 3rd team and twist Tudor and McGee (any year) you must use Busch Stadium.
You can draft any player that had at
least 1 ab or 1 IP for your teams. So make sure you go to Baseball Reference.com to view your full roster.
If any of your teams drawn had a record of below .400 you get the option to redo.
You then get one redo on any one of your teams (after any below .400 redo). Designate which team you want to redo and you get a replacement. You must use the replacement team assuming they have a .400+ record.
I will randomize everyone, except myself. I'll ask the first Hall-of-Famer that joins to randomize me.
