Question:

  1. every morning, game results? (morning and afternoon for you 2-a-day coaches)
  2. recruit generation?
  3. the first cycle of recruiting?
  4. the second cycle of recruiting?
  5. the first signing cycle of recruiting?
  6. recruiting class rankings?
  7. the “player thoughts” email?
  8. preseason rankings?
  9. preseason all-american rankings?
  10. the first RPI poll?
  11. PT selection?
  12. NT selection?
  13. conference awards announcement?
  14. national awards announcement?
  15. NBA early entries?
  16. job application responses?
  17. off-seasons improvement?
  18. odd random posts from Weena on the conference message board?
  19. anything else…..?

game result after round 1 of NT for me. Round 1is generally pretty predictable, afterwards, every game is exciting. I don't look at the result, I look at the play by play first, making it seem like I'm actually watching a game.

I like recruiting by far the best. I also love the morning that the new recruits are generated. I enjoy that more than gameplay, except for the NT.

I definitely also enjoy checking out off-season improvement and even player thoughts (fun to see that your player that gained a dozen points the season before is still listed as high potential!)

Don't care much about class rankings, preseason rankings, AA emails, conf/national awards.

You clearly have never been in a conference with Weena.

Recruiting and the first RPI poll. Then I would have to go with the next morning game results and the off-season improvements. The rest are interesting embellishments and nice fluff, but don't really do anything for me.

first couple cycles of recruiting (any cycle if i'm in a battle), recruit generation and off season improvement (usually because i've been out of the tourney since round 2, haven't applied for any jobs and haven't had any HD things going on for a week and a half.)

In Big 6, the generation of recruits is way more important than my other teams.. that would be in the top 3. I'd say NT games, plus the second and third cycles of recruiting. Also, offseason rollover is probably up there. Getting money, being able to go to the team ratings screen and compare yourself against your conference pre-recruiting is pretty fun.

My top 2 are tied: (1) when reading the play-by-play against a team that is favored and I am winning, that moment when I realize that the other team doesn't have enough time to come back and beat me (especially during NT games); and (2) for DI teams, recruit generation.

When the season rolls over and I get all my recruiting money so I can scout states--that's my #1.

my #1 is when the season is over and its job period, checking to see if anybody left my beloved conf, the GLV of tark. or maybe thats #2, and #1 is, after somebody leaves my aforementioned beloved conf, checking to see who the new coach is.

next up is when there is an interesting forum thread, checking to see if there is any exciting development.

i guess the first time you get to scout, and the 2nd cycle of recruiting, and the last weekend of the NT would be pretty high on the list as well.

#19a For me I think it's that first morning after recruiting ends and recruits finally show up. I just love siting around talking to them like in the movie Stripes and finding out why they chose this team. I love to watch their faces when I announce the depth chart and distribution. Almost as good is when I hear the sighs of relief and the moans of agony when I break down the study hall assignments. That first morning is definitely tops for me.

#7 Getting the player thoughts email from assistant coach is always a highlight. The cover letter he always attaches trying to justify why a kid who he told me had high LP, rebounding, and shot blocking is actually only average in those skills is priceless. His excuses have ranged from the scout sitting in front of him had BO so bad it made his eyes water and burn to the uncle sitting next to him turned out to be an escaped mental patient. My favorite was the one about the girlfriend's mother who turned out to be trying to trying to break up the kid's relationship with her daughter. It seems the kid was really a stoner with a gambling addiction.

#19b Seeing my schedule for the first time and finding 7 of the 10 non-conference teams are Top 25 ranked and seeing that the other 3 are sim ai because the previous coach abandoned them. One day I know I'll find the guy who makes these schedules and I'm gonna rip his head off and stuff it down his neck.

Is this a good example of a random Weena post?

my #, by far, is looking at new recruits.
