Can IFA's crop up all the way through the very last day of the regular season?  or beyond?

Seems like the last one pops up about a week before the season ends, perhaps a few days less.  I don't recall one ever coming out the last day of the regular season, nor in the playoffs.

Boner!  I'm holding 14Mil!

Check your world schedule.  It gives you the date.

Gonna disagree with Mike. The world schedule says the last day of regular season, but that is most likely the last day an international can be signed/negotiated with as they disappear in the postseason.

You can disagree if you'd like.  You'll be wrong but that's OK.  It's a learning experience.   You can sign IFA up until the WS.    If I have extra prospect money, I do it all the time to re-populate minor league position players slugs.

As for practical application, I can't say I've seen an IFA after the minor league season ends.  But that doesn't mean no one has.

I cannot remember seeing a new IFA come up after the end of the minor league season.  And, since this question comes up all the time, I've been paying attention to this for about 3-4 seasons of 3 teams, and I can say for sure I have not seen one in those 10 or so team-seasons.

+1 on Mike's comment about being able to negotiate with them at least until the WS (I've never tried later than that).

Use that $$ to sign whatever decent IFAs you've scouted throughout the year. They may just be MiLers, but you won't have to sign as many guys to fill your minors next year and the money won't be a total waste.

Agree with Mike here. except that I do use any leftover $$ to sign IFAs to fill next years MiL rosters during the playoffs. Otherwise the money is just going to waste. You can put them on whatever MiL team you want during the playoffs and they'll be there for the following season.

Where's it say you can sign IFA's up until the world series. All the IFA's (the ones on the negotiating screen) disappeared near  the start of the Playoffs.

This is what I'm disagreeing with. It does not say the last day an IFA will pop up in your inbox!

There are 32 owners in a world.   Just because you don't see an IFA doesn't mean no one else does.   But, as a couple of us have noted, we haven't seen an IFA after the minor league season ends.   But the world schedule clearly shows IFA scouting begins when ST begins and ends when the BL regular season ends.

Totally agree with what it says, as you stated ^. But it does not refer to the last day an IFA will crop up, which was the subject at hand in OP.

WOW.  We've got a disconnect.   He asked "Can IFA's crop up all the way through the very last day of the regular season?"

It's obvious, from the world schedule, that WifS designed the game so that they could.  IOW, they CAN.
