Please let the complaints about the ACC in Allen resume.

forget complaints - how about an application...

Please let us know  1) how many are still ranked after non-conference play;   2) how many are still ranked about they beat each other up in conference play

That's just filthy.  Notice also that the ACC has the numbers 1 through 7 ranked teams.  Ouch!  Bloodbath doesn't even begin to describe what conference play will be like.

LOL, 12 preseason ranked teams, that is just absurd. I guess that what happens when you have 50k extra to recruit with every season.

What can you really do about this? The coaches got together and formed a super conference. Doesn't seem like anything illegal going on here. Seems like any group of people could do the same thing.

No, the ACC has built in advantages. It's been discussed before, many of their schools have unrealistic baseline prestiges. For example Boston College has the same baseline prestige as Georgetown. If you go across all worlds, ACC is consistently the best conference, it's not just coincidental that they routinely have the best group of 12 coaches. I'm in 3 worlds and in one of those worlds the ACC has an A prestige and in another they have an A+ prestige, and I'm sure in Allen they also have an A+ prestige. One of the worlds I'm in the ACC is ordinary. Back to the A+ prestige for the conference, do you realize how much of a benefit that is? On top of that no other conference is above B+ in Phelan, so they pretty much get whoever they want in recruiting.

I'm curious how recruiting goes for them. Do they just end up avoiding each other, and not have recruiting battles?

So you're saying the baseline prestige wasn't earned? It was just given to them because it's the ACC? If so what is expected to be done? I ask because I may jump to D1 next season in phelan.

I kind've get the impression your not fully clear on how the baseline prestige system works. How it works is at the start of the game back in 2003 or whatever it was the creators of the game assigned a baseline prestige to every D1 team (pretty sure all D2 and D3 have equal baselines), and that baseline never changes. The prestige we see changes but based on baseline it makes it easier or harder for a team's visible prestige to increase. So a team with an A+ baseline has a very easy time getting to A+, whereas a team with a B baseline will have a more difficult time. The higher the baseline prestige it's also harder for your prestige to drop too far. For example last season in Tark Kentucky went 2-25 or something like that and their prestige stayed at A+, a team with a B baseline would have seen a drop.

On top of that conference prestige has a noticeable impact on visible prestige in D1 whereas it really doesn't as far as I've noticed in D2 and D3. So back to baseline prestige and the ACC. The conferecnce seemingly got very favorable baseline ratings from the original programmers and thus it makes it easy for a lot of the schools to get to A+ prestige, which in turn increases the conference prestige and then makes it easier for all the schools to increase their prestige while at the same time making it more difficult for their prestige to decrease.

I just joined a DII super conference that has seven teams ranked preseason and one just outside.

Most of the time, yeah.

I can't remember the last time we've only had 50k, generally it is significantly higher.  Most recent recruiting season we had nearly $66k.

Conference play is ridiculous.  Last season Clemson went 6-10 in conference, and then made the Elite 8.

Eight of 12 teams are A+ prestige.  We don't need to rehash the many issues that have allowed the ACC in Allen to become the 2011 HD version of Standard Oil.
