DOOMSDAY: Round Two - League 06 - FINISHED! Topic

In this Round, you’re drafting a pitching staff and a hitting staff. Based on team E.R.A. and team Runs per Game stats, the three top hitting and pitching teams from each season from 1901 (including the Federal League boys) are listed. They’re split up rather evenly between leagues so that each league will get some old guys, some new guys and some in-between guys.

Here’s the deal: With your first pick in the draft, you draft either a hitting staff or a pitching staff – one or the other. However, know that if you take an American League hitting staff, that you must take an American League Pitching Staff to go with it. If you take a National League pitching staff, you must take a National League hitting staff to go with it. The teams in each league will be split up by N.L. and A.L. The draft order for each league will be 1-24, 24-1. The 24-hour pick rule applies here as it did in Round One.

Also, when building your team, you must have a minimum of four players from each team you draft. For example, in League One, if you draft the 1909 Chicago Cubs / Pittsburgh Pirates / New York Giants pitching staff and the 1974 Los Angeles Dodgers / Cincinnati Reds / Pittsburgh Pirates hitting staff, you must have a minimum of four pitchers from the 1909 Cubs, a minimum of four pitchers from the 1909 Pirates and a minimum of four pitchers from the 1909 Giants, as well as a minimum of four position players from each of the three teams in your hitting group. Obviously one of the six teams represented on your roster will have a fifth guy. There will be no Free Agents in this round.

Other information that you need to know for Round Two:

*Clones: Yes, though we shouldn’t see too many of them.
*Waiver Wire, Trades and A.A.A. – NO!
*Designated Hitter – YES.
*Injuries – Turned Off.
*CAP – No cap – just build the best roster you can.
*Stadium – Any stadium you want.

Who Moves On?

Once Round TWO is complete, the owners who own the eight playoff teams in each league will earn a spot in Round Two. 8 x 8 = 64 spots. That leaves 8 spots to fill. Therefore, we’re also going to grant the one owner from each league that had the most Wins that didn’t make the playoffs a spot in the next round. That’s 8 more spots which = 72 spots. The tie-break will be (1) Head-to-Head (if in the same league), (2) the biggest run differential between earned runs allowed by the pitching staff and runs scored by the offense; and (3) Most Home Wins.

IMPORTANT:  In order to ensure that all owners who have more than one team in a draft, we need to ensure that there's a chance for them to do that when their turn in the draft comes up.  That being said...

RIZITOS, MARKEKING, myself and RANDY_114B have more than one team in this draft.  I have two picks relatively early in the draft so I shouldn't have a problem getting one N.L. and one A.L.  The other three, however, need to have the opportunity to draft both.  Therefore, if 11 of either N.L. or A.L. spots are picked before they get to their second pick, there needs to be a spot left open for them.  I know this probably sounds confusing but I'm at work and I'm typing this quickly.  Any questions, I'll try to answer them later.
