Let's just say for argument's sake that I had a starting pitcher on one of my teams sustain a long term injury, and he takes the normal hit to his ratings that normally happen with a LT injury. Let's say that I foolishly placed him on the 60 day DL, even though he was going to be back later than the post season roster cutoff date. Let's just say that even though the game is not supposed to allow me to do it, I am somehow just able to take my player off the 60 day DL (pre-recovery), and place him on the 15 day DL, thus enabling me to have him on my 40 man roster at the deadline, and therefore enabling me to have this pitcher available for the playoffs. For argument's sake, let's say that my franchise has a high training budget, and the pitcher has a high makeup number, and is 27. Here's the crux of the matter - When this hypothetical pitcher's stint on the DL is over, he receives no recovery points. Remember he has high makeup, the franchise has a high training budget, and he's just 27. In my 70 seasons played, this would be the only long term injury I have ever seen in which there was no recovery points whatsoever. None. Zip. Zero. Zilch.
Ok, this isn't hypothetical. This happened. My question is, what would you forum cats do about this? Write a ticket asking for an explanation? I did, and after a couple of bullshit responses, and me insisting on a real explanation, they explained that the lack of recovery points is because of the mid recovery DL switch, which I technically should not have been able to do. So, in essence, my pitcher received no recovery points due to what amounted to a glitch. What would your expectations from the site be at this point?
