jsa - STA is one of the 3 factors...in the per explanation, i clarified that by including sta i meant "(ie, is the player fatigued)". if anything, a player's STA / fatigue will only make a player's ft shooting worse as the game goes on, since they are starting out @ 100% of their FT rating (factoring in HCA) @ the beginning of the game, and as the game progresses and the fatigue hits in, they should be getting progressively worse. unless the player is playing extremely different minutes and tempos each game, the fatigue should remain a constant over the course of a season. using hs grades (i hope they're still the same from when i was in school!) to correlate to HD, a C+ player should be shooting 77-79%, if he is never affected by HCA and is never fatigued. if the team is playing on the road against high HCA teams; and he plays significant minutes so that fatigue becomes a factor, those numbers should decline. yes, i said it, FT rating should create a ceiling (with possibly a 3.33% margin of error, which is 1/2 a letter grade; and subject to any minor 'bumps' for the player's home games, if the team enjoys a good HCA) of potential stats.
