I don't know what's not really to like about Rice & Schrempf. Rice seems to have fallen out of favor but I think he fits. Stockton will probably lead the league in assists so you can afford a low assist shooting guard. Rice gets to the line over 500 times and makes over 200 3's. A rare feat. All this with over 50 efg. At one time he was a WIS staple. And he is only a 4 on usage points, unlike post of the other 25+ scorers who are a 6 or 8. There are other good sg's out there, but most are a 6 and with Duncan already being a 6, I couldn't see that working. I just thought he was the best fit of the 4 usage point sg's left. As for the Schrempf he's a decent rebounder from the sf spot which I needed because right now with having non rebounding guards that's a weakness. The season I'm probably using, much like Rice's gives me 500+ FTA and an efg well over 50 with an amazing 52% on almost 200 3pt attempts. I thought about taking 1 of 2 available centers that I liked but I felt that they we're to high scoring to pair with Duncan inside. There's a ton of low usage high rebound centers that probably would work better next to Duncan. So ultimately, I decided to have my number 2 scorer be a perimeter player and match Duncan up inside with a banger later on. I hope it works out.
