not sure the WiS administration would agree with your hypothesis baker... I haven't found anything else that is worthwhile.

I doubt it'll get noticed unless it gets reported...

true, they don't seem to do much with this game at all anymore, I guess if you reduce overhead to one or two staffers in a co-working or remote working scenario you get a pretty profitable business.

Oh, please.  They're not going to take it down.  There have been discussions about this before.  Even if it gets reported - what are you reporting, really?

bakerbarnett, are you just in a bad mood today?

As I told dacj in a sitemail, I'm generally annoyed at not clicking delete my account just because I've already spent money on my remaining seasons even though it seems development is not happening on HD or GD. and specifically I'm annoyed by my loss to St. Johns in the PIT because I don't understand what I can improve given our relative ATH REB DEF advantage (though I know s**t happens)

I hear you and, yes, there haven't been any real updates in a while.  I'm actually kind of okay with that.  I like the game as is.  Not denying that it could be better, but I'm having fun.  I haven't found any site that does a similar game with anything near the depth and texture of this one.

I sure have wanted to blow up the world after an awful loss, though.

I thought GD was ramping up the roll out game engine 3.0 or whatever? Anything has to be better than the last disaster they rolled out over there...I hope...

baker, you simply didn't coach your team well.

For starters, you have a bunch of seniors and a bunch of freshmen. That makeup very obviously screams slowdown, yet there you were against a veteran St. John's team (8 sr/jr), playing uptempo. You also gave a huge amount of your distro (both that game and for the season) to a senior who was good-but-not-great, and scored with poor efficiency, yet you never relented.

I'll stop there because it's late, but I could go on for awhile, both related to gameplanning and team building. Bottom line: Blaming the sim for your shortcomings here is fairly laughable.

When reading "alternatives to WIS" I was going to comment "going for a walk outside" or "riding a bike"

I do think you mean "reasonable alternatives", however......so I have no answer.

I'm always looking to try new games, but HD would be really/rather hard to beat...I can make the argument that HD is currently my favorite game of any format (console, PC, online, etc) across any/every sport or genre.

In the past I was LOOKING for games to "beat out" HD/WIS games and all I found were bad knockoffs.

+1. I do wish there was one out there without the Baseline prestige, or that fired more coaches at top programs who do not perform at a high level.

WIS is the best i've ever found.

OOTP baseball is detailed to the point where I can't get into it.

Hattrick is fun - but not quite detailed or fast enough. your team players 1-2 games a week.

HD is my favorite game on WIS, followed by HBD and GD.
