2nd session is completely broken Topic

took over Tennessee in Iba this season. Had four open scholarships. Wasn't even able to unlock any actions before all of my targets (all with late signing preferences) signed elsewhere. Didn't even use a dollar of my $20,000 recruiting budget. This is not a complicated fix. All we need is about a day's worth of non-signing cycles in session #2 before signings start. But right now, it's totally unusable for coaches changing jobs.

Isn't that what happens with coaching changes in real life though? First recruiting classes are always rough. If anything, the recruits you were going for with your previous school should be immediately unlocked for the new school (under the pretense that they liked you recruiting them).

I would say there's a difference between rough and nonexistent. I have no problem with taking over in the second session and having most recruits already signed. But there should at least be a chance to recruit the unsigned ones.

This isn't real life. There are hundreds of things in this game that aren't like real life.

Yep I agree. That's why I think players you had recruited before should be unlocked.

@tarvolon: How about this schedule

Also . . EEs happen at the beginning of the 1st Session .

Also way less players should sign in the first session. Players just don't sign early in those numbers in reality.

I am confused at the purpose of this comment.

Bingo. EE's should happen at the beginning of cycle 1. Very few real EEs are on the fence until the season ends. People generally know. That doesn't solve tarv's conplaint tho. Which is why I also think his previously recruited guys should've been unlocked at Tennessee.

What about the recruits the prior coach at Tennessee already made progress on? You didn't mention those. I really have no problem with the process of taking over a new program being more than a piece of cake.

Taking over Spud is always tough. Check me suffer four years at Purdue

Your response saying that this situation is what happens in real life. This game isn't real life. Yes, it's simulating it to an extent but there are so many things that aren't like real life that it's really not a good excuse when someone has a problem with something in the game. IMHO

Edit- oops, I quoted the wrong comment.

They had all already signed with other teams.

and I don't exactly think what I'm asking for would make it a piece of cake

Just like real life, they should still be somewhat interested in the school (Tennessee in this case). The new coach needs to figure out if that interest is mutual.
