You're in a really good conference. Your team is really good, but the reason your rankings are as low as they are in conference play is because of the strength of your conference. The problem is more external than internal.

And I'd get some more speed.

Some of your game planning has really sucked. For example, you run out a +5 defense vs a team that should no way be +5 and in another game you switch to FCP without any IQs.

Your scoring is limited to say the least. You would be able to score some just based on your ath however you run a triangle offense which is the worst offense for that style of player. Your point guard cannot pass the ball and his ball handling is mediocre. Your shooting guard bh is low for a sg he is built more like a sf. You need to add some more per. Guyton cannot play pf his rebounding is too low. To sum it up you built a good fast break press team add some more ball handler/passers, you lose your true center after this year which will hurt you next year(this should be a top priority replacement). My advice switch to fb press and keep recruiting those types of players or you are going to really need to reevaluate the types of players you are bringing in. Either way bh and pass must be higher than it currently is and don't skimp out on rebounding.

Yeah, you're correct on all of those points, except our rebounding seems to be adequate, my opponents aren't getting that many offensive rebounds. I have a very good rebounder at C who is matched up with a very good defensive PF, but not nearly as good on the boards. My guards also make up for any rebounding deficiencies.

At the time, when I first took over the team, we didn't have success, first year coach and considering most teams in our conference were recruiting uptempo players, I went in the other direction. I wanted to go FB/FCP, but knew I wasn't going to win out on those players, so tried the Ath/Def thing.

I most certainly aware of our teams weaknesses. The problem I'm trying to correct and need advice on is how to fix my man to man. I'm considering switching to FCP with B-'s and C+'s later in the season, but then again not sure if we have enough speed to be able to pull that off.

And to be honest triangle sucks, I hate it. I was just keeping it so i could gain an advantage in recruiting. I regret making that decision now.

The +5 only takes away 3s (supposedly). But if they have athletic guards, they will rip you apart in the paint with drives.

Why doesn't Duffy have more distro? He's probably your best offensive option.

You mentioned aejones in an earlier post-he ALWAYS had guys (and usually guards) that could score. You need those guys with PER or LP > 90 to compare yourself with his teams.

Need some shot blocking to threaten their shooters inside. If they get close there is no one to alter the shot. No speed to close out on outside shots.
You could try switching Salamone and Adams in the backcourt and throw in some double teams on fast penetrators and/or offensive interior players. Basically trying to force more turnovers and take the high percentage shots away.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they lacked athleticism and inside scoring and even then it was just one game. I had seen some evidence that playing +5 may increase turnovers by putting more pressure on the perimeter, but don't have any significant data to back that up.

My starting center Williams has a 97 shot block rating. No speed to close out on the outside shots makes sense, although my starting guards speed ratings are 83 and 73, not terrible, but maybe part of the problem? I put Salamone at PG, mostly because he has more athleticism and the PG position seems to pick up the most fouls, but maybe this is worth a try. Both Salamone and Adams have the same BH+Pass rating, so not losing anything by switching them and Adams is a better passer, which might help get the offense going a little bit, where Salomone's skill is BH over passing.
