#1 on Big Board is only on the fence? Topic

Never seen this one before... how is the #1 guy on big board only listed as On The Fence?? Maybe it's because he's only 981 overall. Pretty weak sauce.

Fyi - says he's a SR but he was in inel so he's only a JR. But he should still be likely going.

EEs are definitely not totally random guys. Seriously. Not at all.

Ineligibles always have “on the fence” as a big board ceiling. It isn’t “random.” That’s how it works.

So no vets that can weigh in on this one? Ever seen it before?

Also, hilariously this guy stayed. Guess he really wants to get that degree! Makes sense.

I thought people wanted this game to be realistic?

It happened in Phelan Sr/5 this season, on the fence, #1. He stayed.

This thread is hilarious.

Yeah that's what I'm referring to. Have you ever seen the #1 guy listed as on the fence before?

I was surprised, we talked about it in chat. So it was new to me.

I've only started paying attention to the logistics of how players get drafted, not that long ago. I never even knew that Ineligibles will always be on the fence.

If anything, an ineligible would be more likely to skip his last year of school and bolt to the NBA, since he's considered not a great student.

I'm wondering if it's a programming error that nobody caught on to, #1 player being "on the fence", even as a junior, doesn't make sense.

Send to Seble so he can address it in a few years with the next patch..

Yeah that's what is happening. I saw another inel SR listed as On the Fence at #8 on big board.

Neat little trick to game the system!

Out of curiosity, has anyone tracked if ineligibles have a drastically different rate of staying? If so, that makes them more valuable than other top notch recruits. At the highest level.

At least somewhat. (If I played D1, and this was the case) I would target an ineligible player that is top 10 at his position, over a player that is top 5 at his position. Since you could get an extra season or two out of him.

Any knowledge on this?

Not sure. I do know I had a butthole Inel Sophomore go EE on me at GT.

I had some old data.. It doesn't matter if the inel is ranked #1 on Big Board or #100, he will always be listed as on the fence as a SR.

I'm sure this was intentional though. #WorkingAsIntended

I knew that much. I just didn't know if there was any data out there that showed if they are less likely (or more likely) to leave school early. Or if they leave at the same rate as any other player
